Number 4, that used to be me. It was my way of keeping the peace and it made me miserable and was ineffective!! Done with that! This is such a great video and a good reminder to monitor where we are putting our focus. I like the idea of challenging ourselves to conquer fears. Mine is claustrophobia. Going to work on that like you did on the bridge. Procrastinating used to be a way of avoidance, but when I stopped, it was truly liberating! Number 15...so true!!! Thank you for this video...I enjoy things like this!
Whoa! Number one is get rid of toxic people.....I needed to hear to this one. And, it gives me 'permission' to stop attending a monthly social gathering that has just become toxic. Thank YOU!
@ We had words. They no longer wanted me in their lives also. So it worked out fine. If I see one of them in a store I just walk by and say nothing. I feel great! It’s been 3 yrs now.
For not comparing myself to others - I am trying to work on not comparing myself to who I was too. Love your whole list. Put ourselves first and be thankful and grateful.
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen from anyone ever, seriously! We’ve been working on many of these points for a while but wish we’d realized how important this stuff is when we were a lot younger. Prioritizing ourselves isn’t in the least selfish - we’ve actually been able to reach out to help many people in our lives in different ways because we can empathize with how they feel. What’s really important to us is how we make other people feel. If we think about it, that’s our legacy rather than any riches we could ever accrue. Thank you for making this video!
Hi Cathy, I'm a new subscriber. (Yes, I hit that subscribe button) I've had the pleasure of watching a few of your videos now and continuing.. I appreciate your insights and your pleasant and calming energy. Your subject matter really is so much more than fashion, diet and style. Your talks cover many faucets of life in general. I recently and unexpectedly lost my dear husband of 35 years. I struggle often, however staying engaged and productive helps. This video is a great punch list of actions to embrace and follow through on. I rarely ever comment on channels. You're a lovely lady and I wanted to tell you so. Thank you.
I am an award winning procrastinator! I would win the biggest trophy they make. If they called me to come pick it up, it would take me forever to stop by and get it.
Great video Cathy! I’m 70 and can attest to these suggestions being so smart and DOABLE! Loved this a lot! Thanks for the time you spent putting this together! Enjoy watching you so much!❤
Hi Cathy , it really shows that you had to self reflect to put this video together. Thanks so much for the hard work and heart that you put into this. I needed to hear a lot of these things. Thank you for starting my day off right today and for always bringing a smile.😊 wishing you a great day❤
Women tend to "apologize" too often....a bad habit and I had heard that advice years ago, so I catch myself before saying it. As you indicated, there are times when one does need to say "I am sorry."
A wealth of good advice, thank you. I used to tell my son when he was young and wondered why we didn’t have holidays etc. that it is what we own, not what we owe. He still repeats that to me, in his mid-30s.
Hi Cathy! You make some very good points to follow. Here are a couple of sayings I like. “ If you spend your time chasing butterflies, they’ll fly away. But if you spend your time making a beautiful garden, the butterflies will come to you.” “When you talk, you are only repeating what you know. But if you listen, you may learn something new. “ -Dalai Lama Love and Kindness, Teresa

Already got rid of 5 toxic people! I’ve never felt so good!
@ did you say anything to them or did you just bow out of invites? I'm thinking of taking the bowing out path.

Love both of those sayings Teresa! 💖
Great suggestions, do I have permission to get rid of my husband? He’s toxic and negative and a complainer!
yes...if you're no longer compatible...show him the exit...
A much needed reminder

E- evidence
A- appearing
R- real.
