  • The stars of the Hallmark movie "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story" offer behind-the-scenes glimpses as filming kicks off at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Raise your hand if you’ve scored a hug or handshake from actor Tyler Hynes while he’s in town filming the new Hallmark Channel Christmas movie about the Kansas City Chiefs.
Yep, there have been quite a few.
Heck, even Travis Kelce - his bobblehead anyway - got a pat on the head from Hynes, one of the most popular actors on the Hallmark Channel.

It’s great cuz you just tell the extras, “Ok, here’s your motivation: you’re a bunch of crazy Chiefs fans going to a game”, and they’re all like “oh ok, so just be my normal self then.” Easiest role ever.

I wish Hallmark would film in season-appropriate months and locations. The Christmas movies feature green leaves and grass and bright sun. Feel bad for everyone wearing coats in 90° heat.

Not very realistic unless they tape a year in advance, or release it in July which makes little sense. Sunshine isn't a problem, it does come out in the winter you know. Other aspects like trees could be an issue but it seems like Hallmark knows what they're doing. The extras I've seen interviewed or just walking around don't seem bothered

This why I'm so curious how they are going to pull it off. It's going to take a lot of creativity to make it believable it's Christmas when its being filmed in July.

Of course Kansas Citians watch Hallmark movies. We are the Heartland. Plus Hallmark is a home town corporation and has been forever.

I am looking forward to see Holiday Touchdown. I know Tyler and Hunter will do a great job. Tyler is so talented in anything he does. When he said he rents a car and visits all the neighborhoods and speaks to residents of Kansas City. That is so considerate of him plus the fact he was listening to the script. I felt bad for Rusty James with a rash and now Tyler has one. I love the fact he loves Kansas City barbeque. He really gets into his role. No one could do it better than Tyler. I love his beard and hairstyle and especially his deep voice.
