Could never back this given the commitment of money that would be, but would have loved to see this as a dual mainline release. As is it's a fantastic representation of the original with a lot of improvement. Still own the original, and while I really liked Beast Wars as a show, it was so refreshing to get the Autobots, and Decepticons back as actual vehicles while updating the looks, and characters.
Nice to see packaging before the year is out. Omega Prime is expensive but I'm glad I backed him. My cousins 2 boys are ETERNALLY FORBIDDEN from touching mine.
1:46, I'll say this once and I will say it again. Car Robots was a part of G1 back in the Japanese continuity so this is still that, it's just that different toyline but it evolved ever since if it makes any sense. 2:56, or in different countries like me for instance, you can find it in your stores that order this like I saw a Deathsaurus Haslab in a store once while trying to find a job. The box art looks too...well...generic but I feel it's gonna be something else when it finally gets released. Hopefully Guido Guidi comes back to make the artwork.
I am aware of the G1 Connection...but it's convoluted because of how the continuity is, and to the average person who knows RID 2001, I usually leave that connection alone. I know it, and maybe I'll do a video on it, but if we are going by US continuity, it's not there. We have some store here that will get a few HAslab items, but because it's Haslab that's gonna be far and few between, so ebay is a much better resource for people to get the figures they may not see in stores. If this is the final packaging, then unless they do an inner sleeve, this is the box we are going to get unfortunately
I am glad i backed this but man waiting two years on a 250+ investment suuuuucks. But he looks good and the packaging looks good and honestly im psyched for getting this in hand.
This set looks awesome, I unfortunately didn't back it but If I find it for a decent price I'll get it. I loved the RID01 stuff as a kid glad we're getting Skybyte too.

They said they won't do another figure from Japanese lore...they have stated.
