I have the RID Gigatron/megatron. He’s definitely one of my favorite designs. He actually looks pretty good on the shelf with current/modern figures. I understand why they do updated figures, but the old one is damn near perfect.
Since it’s confirmed that the current Vector Prime IS one of the 13, I guess I need to get the DNA upgrade kit to make it look good/comparable to Megatronus.
Horribull and TFA Nemesis Prime could be cool, wonder who else will be in the 4 pack my guess is Outback and maybe BW Fractyl. RID01 Megatron/Gigatron was one of my first ever figures, I could see him being one of the new smaller Titan figures.
I think they could get away with making Robots in Disguise Megatron as a regular commander-class figure. Shorter than Siege Jetfire, but complex enough to justify the large price tag. Then, wbamo, instant mold reuse potential for an RiD Galvatron redeco.
Plus Haslab Omega Prime was very successful so it would make sense to do RiD Megatron at retail. The counterpoint is that if leaks are true the next commanders are going to be G1 Silverbolt and G1 Onslaught. (Onslaught is assumed given that they’re making a new Swindle and trademarks for the other Combaticons will probably make G1 take precedence over Animated. And Hasbro probably won’t a three gap in between the components for Bruticus).
Gigatron? Pass just like I passed on Omega Prime. I am satisfied with both G1 versions. Both figures are jointed, look good in alt mode, and does it's job on a shelf and as a playable toy. I am collecting remakes of brick G1s only such as Horribull. In fact I got the updated fully jointed Bruticus instead to complete the G1 collection of Robots in disguise and repainted it into Ruination.
I have both Gigatron and Devil Gigatron and I think they both were kinda way ahead of their time. I loved finally getting him as imo he really doesn't change well, but using your imagination you get what they are trying to do. A Haslab would not do but just a commander class like they did Magmatron is perfect.

Hopefully they will never get other G2 Stunticons after we got G2 Drag Strip and G2 Breakdown Because the original G2 Drag Strip G2 Motormaster G2 Dead End and G2 Wildrider got canceled in the first place except G2 Breakdown because he was a botcon exclusive before they got released in Combiner Wars.

I think for robots in disguise Megatron, I think someone suggested using him for the basis of the Shapeshifting member of the 13 primes

So far there's Bumblebee, Sentinel Prime, Elita-1 and Starscream (who we haven't seen yet).
