This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on youtube. He at first commands, then towards the end completely becomes his piano. The dedication, the mastery required are incredible. And that comes from someone who has performed several of the regards live. But not complete, that takes a passion, a grace, and a fierceness I can hardly imagine
00:30 I. Regard du Père
06:33 II. Regard de l'étoile
09:34 III. L'échange
12:50 IV. Regard de la Vierge
18:17 V. Regard du Fils sur le Fils
24:23 VI. Par Lui tout a été fait
35:49 VII. Regard de la Croix
39:37 VIII. Regard des hauteurs
42:19 IX. Regard du temps
45:31 X. Regard de l'Esprit de joie
54:41 XI. Première communion de la Vierge
1:01:24 XII. La parole toute-puissante
1:04:25 XIII. Noël
1:08:50 XIV. Regard des Anges

wao
L’échange is super ominous somehow..
Bravo, bravo, bravo! A two-hour performance; merci beaucoup, Ashley!
thank you so much for sharing this...beautiful
1:14:11 is the start of my favourite part. We used this in our wedding ceremony. Stunning music. I can hardly believe anyone can manage to learn to play this though :)
very strange to use this for your wedding ceremony. Where did you have it?
@@organboi Not so strange. This is music of beauty and love. I can well imagine Stefaan using this.
WOW! Absolutely stunning!
Fantastique ! Magnifique !
Hypnotique....et certainement divin !👏
If you want to nitpick you could say he made noticeable mistakes on regard du silence and tout le fait . If you were in touch with reality you would realize how insurmountable playing this whole piece through really is. Excellent performance those aforementioned mistakes do not take away from it whatsoever. Extreme mind and muscle connection!
Wow! Incredible! Shout out to the page turner! Not a "stress-less" job!
Thank you sharing this, it is beautiful,
So amazing
Great Concert!
oh my god. literally.
Beautiful amazing
Staggering!
1:50:48 sounds like something from BOTW
The guardian comes around the corner hahah
fabulous!
Music starts at 0:30
This piece is fucking crazy
fucking great as well
it’s one of the few pieces that doesn’t have many technical difficulties relatively, but the stamina of the pianist must be insane.
@@stacia6678 Doesnt have many tecnical difficulties? Lets hear you play it
@@primeartonline-pianocovers1535 why do i have to play it to prove my point..?
@@stacia6678This piece is one of the most difficult piano pieces ever written to date. Your point is just false on every account.
boos op het concentratiekampo
Toll!! Danke!!! -
Aber: Diese besch.... Durand-Ausgabe - Grrrrrrrr!!:-)
Everyone here is from rousseau
No
Does Rousseau have videos on Messiaen?
Comment #23. Excellent! One of my Favorite numbers! However, the treble section of this piano is out of tune. Flat.
Please stop cutting away from his hands on the keyboard to his unshaven face. His face is the least of his attributes.
lmao
Meaningless title. No one has the faintest idea what Jesus got up to in his youth.
+john evans are you able to comment on the music?
+john evans It's meant to be a meditative cycle on the perspectives that various worldly and otherworldly beings would have on the Christ Child at the time of his birth and infancy. Messiaen was well versed in the traditional doctrine of the Roman Catholic faith, and this is one of his more imposing works where he tries to express those concepts musically.
It is an exercise. Spiritual exercise. Try to read the book by Ignacio de Loyola named "Spiritual Exercices". That is the idea.
alright know-it-all
Greg makes some valid points, and what do you know, mr. evans?
Wat een bullshit al die clusterbommen
