Created by Steven S. DeKnight, Spartacus is a Historical drama series which premiered on January 2010 and concluded in 2013 after a run of 3 seasons and 1 mini series titled Spartacus:Gods of the Arena.
This tv series stars The late Andy Whitfield as the original Spartacus, John Hannah as Batiatus and Peter Mensah as Doctore to name an amazing few.
For a quick recap, this show centres around Spartacus, a Thracian warrior, who has been captured by Romans and has to pay his debt so he fights to clear the debt to rejoin his wife

I've re-watched the series no less than 50 times... and I will continue to do so.
Both Liam McIntyre and Todd Lasance stream on twitch. I've gotten to know them some, and they are both amazing, funny, kind, down to earth men.
I binge this show once a year. So great. Definitely wish it could have continued with other stories like they did Ganicus.

yes@Frank Ragetti, John Hannah's dedication was like none other and his character was splendid, btw for a fun fact prior to deciding to become an actor, Hannah was an apprentice electrician for four years.

Yes! I still rewatch every few years, and all the way through. But season 1 is by far my favorite. Andy will always be remembered as a gladiator!

I will never forget that show,never. It is fantastic,the second guy who did Spartacus was well chosen,the two have similarities and both did a great job. Everyone in that show played super well. Rip to Andy and may the rest of the cast live long and well ! Edit: Varro had such a sad death it really was depressing.

I remember being all excited as the days counted down for this to air. And it did not disappoint! I still binge watch this a few times a year, and it never gets old.

This was my favorite show in the season finally when the clouds came over Spartacus he died i cried. A much better season finally that Game of Thrones.
Game of thrones sucks only season one was good also Spartacus ending was much better than game of thrones by far

Spartacus series always had a special place in my heart, because John Hannah reminds me of my dad a lot. Same appearance, same personality. It made me love the show even more.

I can't believe some of the ages they were back then! Crazy! With all the amazing that there is to see, no season will ever beat my love of season 1 with Andy. I loved him so much. He's one of a few actors who will always be remembered and RESPECTED! (No matter how they passed) I've rewatched this a few times. At least every couple years. -So much love for the cast

I literally finished rewatching this series again in February, and it’s still the best series ever, the casting was spot on, it’s an emotional rollercoaster of a show, there is not one dull episode! They all still look great. Love you Andy! Shoutout to Liam for doing a fantastic job after.

Great show, and I think everyone that watched this show should 100% watch Rome, another great show but one that sadly came to a rushed end due to budget constraints. The ending is great, but it's clear they wanted more seasons. I love both of these shows.

Some of the actors went on to take part in Game of Thrones and voice parts in Star Wars Rebels. I quite dig those series that use multiple actors from a different one
All them are amazing, ! I watched them and Really impress with Dan Fuereggel and Pana Hema Taylor played as Agron & Nasir, what a totally role and amazing,all of them amazing!!

Couldn't have said it better myself such a mess of tragedy and blissful entwinement and all the trappings of harsh and repugnant but interspersed with such a hope even though it was brutal it was at least ten times that beautiful and creative work of art that fills the senses and we lived it because of Andy Whitfield.
The almost love or admiration from Batiatus and then the heighth of betrayal from multiple levels I even had found myself rooting for Batiatus and Lucretia to rise to their lofty aspirations and the way people tried to piss down Batiatus neck and all horse shit that he had been saddled with and the revenge Batiatus struck and striken by the same people who made a mockery of him or tried out manuevering.him the same way that they would fall by such a man of status and history within the city capua
There are so many things I love about the whole bit I wish more people were aware of the masterpiece the series was it was a vivid interpretation of this real life figure that even though we don't have hardly any of the details of Spartacus life and death other than the years of the third servile uprising and where him and his legions. We're and the havok that they rocked into the Romans pompous arrogance psyche I would give anything to be able to acquire some thing of record of the details of life but a book or what if we could go back in time and video tape stuff that happened thousands of years past. What a window to look through that would be

Was better. That does not diminish Andy's influence. It only shows how good the show was, irrespective of who plays Spartacus.
TV series i can't stop re-watching, 24 hrs, Spartacus, banshee, prison break, kingdom . They were breathtaking. All others i could only watch once.

Omg, all the men look almost exactly the same as they did 10 years ago. That Spartacus training camp did it's job! The women still look gorgeous as well!

Who ever directed the ending of Spartacus, should have been given the job of directing the end of GOT. One thing i really enjoyed about this series was their dialogue. Especially when they were about going into battles.

One of my favorite shows ever I love stars for Airing The show. I was so sad to hear that and he had passed away when I was watching season two of the six part series without him by the time is gone by.

For the most part they look the same!!! Some of the younger guys look slightly older but they all look Like they could gear up for one more season!

@Abraham Sanchez if a good tv show company picked it up then we'd have a good run of Spartacus, and the good thing about it is that we have many actors that would fit the role so perfectly, am thinking of Travis Fimmel from Vikings👌
Judging by what I have seen the new generation couldn't handle this show. Canceling everything from cartoon characters to syrup, a pg version of this show wouldn't be any good. I am just glad to be around when this awesome show was made.
@@dF-sy7ch That is very true, this show just didn't give a shit about people's feelings, a lot of controversial topics by today's standards slipped by unbothered by the public (Agron and Duro's hairstyle in S1, one example). Even the mention of the word "cock" every 15 mins would make them rant on twitter.
