The different camera angles and zooming at the point of the "choke" was intentionally done to show that something was off in that "simulation" -That we were getting off script as far as the usual sitcom scenario would entail. Also, it very much looked like either the wife was asking Wanda to stop (as if she was the one choking the husband in order to avoid answering the questions), or was in some sort of weird loop because she could not go off script herself (someone else or Wanda is in actual control of their actions). What Jaby is complaining about is exactly what made it work.
You may be right. Wanda may be the one responsible for choking the husband as he was going off script. He was getting angry and asking "Why are you here?!", implying Wanda was possibly intruding into their lives and forcing the town to live into the illusion. You can actually see some of the townspeople breaking the illusion and Wanda would do something to bring them back.
I'm not complaining about the camera angles switching up for that kind of stuff. I probably didn't articulate my point well enough. I was just referring to the imitation of the old style when nothing especially strange is happening like someone choking or something.

Actually, it has multiple meanings. The first version of the JARVIS AI that Tony built was a toaster that ejected toast at the right time. But in the comics, "Toaster" is also Wanda's nickname for Vision.
You know what I have realized something. Wanda is a representation of those people who always creates different scenarios in their minds and here in WV it is represented by the different eras. It's those people who always prefer to daydream about something that they've always dreamt of having or living or the person they adore so much and people like those, like her, doesn't want others to tell him to stop doing it, to stop fantasizing and living in it because that's their happy place, that's their sanctuary even though it's not real, even though it only exists in their mind. I can say this because I am one and I am working on it in a way where I can balance the two world, the two realities, in a sense that I could willingly, on my own will, leave that fantasy place of mine, and go back to this world of reality, then go back there again if I needed time to unwind. And I have observed that it's her mind that's her biggest weakness (like the fact that she can't accept the reality of vision's death, her not having a baby in real life and all) and people like her (in real life) actually relates to that in a form of stress where even the slightest offensive words you say to us, we would overthink about it all day or even for a week, though people may not see the damage it caused us because it's all inside our head which is much much worse, but it's causing a huge chaos in our mind that we are unable to concentrate on work or school. It gives us lots of hairfalls literally, even makes us lose our appetite, and much worse? Losing the will to live. 💔 And I want to give a huge applause to Marvel for having Wanda as a representation of people like me or you who endlessly dreams about different realities in which you've always wanted those to become real 👏👏❣️
I could be wrong, but for me it looks as if Wanda is controlling this world probably because she doesn't want to deal with reality. When the Harts are asking her where she comes from she doesn't want to remember or talk about it, so she is the one who makes Mr. Hart choke and Mrs. Hart saying "Stop it" is her talking to Wanda actually. Anyway, I hope this show picks up some speed soon.

It's not. The actors have said the first half is about sitcoms and after that it becomes more normal MCU action. And by the end something huge happens, which completely expands the universe as a whole. Each episode breaks the sitcom reality more and more, which is why there was more "glitches" in episode 2.

The direct focus shots has a huge meaning Jaby. It's basically a fourth wall breaking and sometimes it's a clue for the main story. 😉
