U r right.... You know Mario kart Lighting item right.... My brother got epileptic (attack or something ) again....
Solar Flare is underrated honestly. It gives a lot of utility, and its void of power level as long as the person / creature has eyes.

It's interesting how Tien's original Solar Flare was a continuous stream of light that didn't stop for a long while, whereas everyone else's is a quick flash.
he was the original user after all, so he probably had more mastery over it
@@bobukcs3353 nah the animators just got tired
Krillin managed to pull of that version again tho
I think it is long and continuous still but we kind of get the point so we get through the move more quickly
The animators just didnt want to give their audience epilepsy everytime.
It's honestly quite impressive how Solar Flare has stood the test of time. It, along with the Kamehameha is one of the very few, if not the only two techniques to stay useful this entire time.

@@S3verusMyG well they can sense KI but i think it still work against opponent who didn't expect it since it still get them off-guard, just as last long they open their eye and didn't expect it

Whoa since Tenshinhan created it he's probably used to it, which is probably why he doesn't close his eyes, Cell mustve inherited that. It's a pretty cool detail.
@@AquiVieneGioGio I’d assume he is the master of the technique. Others are pretty new so of course they have to be careful.
I'd just assumed that it didn't affect the user
Which is weird because if used on tien, he'll still be blinded. But I guess at that point, the light is aimed at him
@@AquiVieneGioGio I thought the third eye wouldn't be affected by it but in cell case idk
It took Tien time to actually charge a solar flare lmao back then. I love how Dragonball took realsim into energy moves that took human charge to actually work
Really? They can charge blasts to destroy a planet, and Solar Flare jus emits a powerful, blinding light.
It's like comparing a power of a Flashbang grenade or a poweful flashlight, with the one of a Nuclear Blast.
To be honest, even if they are blinded, they could still launch blasts to destroy the Earth. I guess they lack orientation...
@@Extrasailor what are you even saying.r u arguing or what?
@@Extrasailor they're not talking about the power of a move. They're talking about how charging up for moves works back then compared to now. Take Goku for example, it used to be kaaameeeehaaameeehaaa! Now it's just Kamehameha!
@@Zonefire15 Well, they grew stronger, so their capacity and ability to charge powerful attacks has increased along with charging speed.
Probably before they were charging 100 ki into two hands, which was more than half of their total power. Now they are charging billions, quadrillions into one blast... So, all stats for the attack have increased:
-charging speed
-power input
-moving speed
-they can do it while moving or from feet, control the direction etc.
-body durability allowing and for more energy to be gathered
-max energy /attack

Yeah, the only times it failed was against sunglasses and a blind person
Yamcha's Spirit Ball attack has a 100% hit rate. :P
It's worth noting that both Piccolo and Vegeta have developed all of their own moves and refuse to borrow moves from others. This aspect of their development as fighters is undeappreciated imo, even though some of these abilities are very powerful
Destructo Disc, Scatter Shot, Spirit Control, and Hakai.
Piccolo also took Tien's division thing.
@@Narutass43 when did he use the Destructo Disc? As for the scatter shot, that move he used on #17 isn't the same as the beam split rain that Krillin uses. Not sure when he uses hakai but Super already got rid of the independence trait on both Vegeta and Piccolo.
Can't speak for the division thing you mentioned unless it's confirmed Tien's invention and/or Piccolo learning it from him. It also can't be the afterimage technique as this is independently performed by others and seemingly is just some intuitive capability available to people who can manipulate ki.
The Destructo Disc would be a clear indicator I was wrong about Piccolo but only if it occured before Dragon Ball Super. As mentioned before, Super either forgot or didn't care to maintain Piccolo and Vegeta's independence. Vegeta even started training with Goku and learns a transformation from Beerus...
I don't know what you mean by spirit control. Is this some other thing from the newer Super chapters?
@@lightningandodinify Vegeta cuts off Great Ape Gohan's tail with a Destructo Disc (I think it's also his charged ki blast in one of the Tenkaichi games). He does a Scatter Shot/Hellzone Grenade type move in a filler scuffle against Buuhan. Piccolo and Krillin both use the Multi-form fighting Nappa.
Spirit Control is the Yardrats' technique. It's how Goku uses Instant Transmission. Vegeta uses it for something else called Forced Spirit Fission.
He actually uses IT once with instruction, but then explicitly says he refuses to master one of Goku's signature techniques. Vegeta developing SSGSS, learning different Yardrat techniques, and later learning to use Hakai and Ultra Ego from Beerus are explicitly said by Vegeta to be carving his own path, different from Goku's. Beerus teaches him the basics of the Power of Destruction, but Vegeta has still been ultimately going his own way.
@@Narutass43 Vegeta going his own way only had any value when it was taken in the absolute sense and not in comparison to Goku. This is because Goku's greatest distinction from Vegeta is how he meticulously masters what he learns from others and incorporates it into his own fighting style. Vegeta learning from Beerus really ruins this...
One-off abilities, especially when they are reluctant like the instant transmission, I think can be discounted for the purpose of judging his ordinary character. But the spirit control thing is supposed to be something unique? I don't understand. It seems like the basis of any number of abilities.
If you mean Vegeta using the scatter shot on Buu then I agree that it is clearly borrowing from Piccolo.
Most importantly, and in accommodating the exceptions you mention, I think we can weigh the exceptions against big picture trends of these characters. Unlike Vegeta and Piccolo, Goku's arsenal is defined by his continued use of the abilities of others. And while Tien somewhat seems to be in this boat at least plotwise, we know in the background that his abilities originate from either the Crane School or Mutaito (or his predecessors in the case of tri beam).
On a final note on supersaiyan blue versus ultra ego: the former is something him and Goku pioneered despite the base for form being borrowed. But Ultra Ego takes this even further as it doesn't seem like Vegeta pioneered anything at all with that form. Seeing his ascended Super Saiyan Blue form gave me hope they would go in a similar direction in the future and focus on giving him Saiyan specific advantages, especially those he develops himself. I suppose Ultra Ego at least has a design that's finally unique, but still less so than Super Saiyan 4.
After a character like Jiren, I had hoped they would continue to backtrack on the space politics of the gods and their bureaucratic pantheon. You can never have tension when the plot reminds you of a bunch of spectators relaxing on the sidelines. It's what ruined the tension of the tournament of power and the ending of the Goku Black saga.
@@lightningandodinify Using Forced Spirit Fission, Vegeta can manipulate the ki of other beings. It's kind of like a reverse Spirit Bomb. He could separate a fusion, reclaim stolen energy, and redistribute it as he desires. The Yardrats can also use Spirit Control for things like creating illusions or becoming giant.
Tien's Multiform is retroactively said to be a technique created by the Triclops people who Tien is descended from.
Ultra Ego is as unique to Vegeta as Instinct is to Goku. It has a basis with Gods of Destruction, but the transformation is something all his own.
Also, minor rant, but SS4 was too unique and overdesigned. There was no standard; every character with it looks different unless they're a Goku-clone like Bardock. Eye colors vary, as do hair and fur color. SSG Xeno Trunks only happened because the devs couldn't decide what someone without dark hair would look like (Is dark hair part of the form or is it their normal hair?). The original plan was for SS4 Trunks.
Also, it falls back on the filler-exclusive 'primitive barbarian caveman' aesthetic the Z anime and GT cobbled together for the Saiyans.
Also, side note: Super Saiyan Blue is probably gonna be combined with Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego into new forms entirely. Goku is currently learning to use UI in his base form, and Super Saiyan God & Blue increase his ability with it. I'd prefer if UI just became a technique instead of a transformation, but since Vegeta just got his new toy, there's no way the UI transformation will ever go away.
