I have the Vevor auto press and i love it. One thing that was recommended by an electrician friend was to plug it into an outlet and not an extension cord or power strip. I hope this helps a little.
If you absolutely must use an extension cord, use a heavy duty one that handles more power than you press needs. A shorter heavy duty construction extension cord works well. Unplug your machine when not actually uusing it, no matter where you plug it in. Never use a lighter extension cord than the cord that comes attached to your machine. Any machine/appliance.
Hi!! I don’t normally EVER comment on Yt content, but I just wanted to let you know that I didn’t feel at all like this was a waste of my time. This was absolutely EXACTLY what I needed to see!! I’m sorry your experience wasn’t what you hoped, but I hope you know that it’s super helpful watching you and listening to you go through EXACTLY what’s happening so that we can make good decisions. I had this in my cart and was about to check out before I found this video by happenstance. So I’m glad I got to go through this experience with you! Thank you for your honesty. ❤
Sorry you had trouble with your Vevor Autopress. I have had mine for several months now and absolutely love it. I had originally purchased the HTVRont autopress because I have the HTVRont 10x10 heat press which is fabulous. Sadly the HTVRont autopress was defective and had to be returned. I purchased the Vevor since I already have the Vevor mug press. This autopress works great for my needs and it is not too heavy to lift if necessary. So far I have not found any issues with it. I actually considered the Cricut Autopress when they had it on sale recently, however, not having a dedicated crafting space, the thought of lifting the Cricut Autopress when it needs to be moved was out of the question. There is something for everyone out there and your videos are always super helpful. Thank you for that!
Cricut is the leader for a reason!!!! Spending the money on quality has been what my husband has instilled in me so I’m willing to buy what is quantity.
Thank you for your honesty. Its not easy for most of us to afford some of the craft supplies and its nice that you review some more affordable options.
I checked on Amazon for the reviews. Of course they are mixed but there are a lot of people saying that theirs quit heating after using it for no more than two months. They have also said that their customer service is awful and they aren’t honoring their warranty. I hope you guys are able to get your money back!
I never got consistent heat / pressure on the Cricut auto press; so i was able to return it and get a nice auto release clam shell press with pull out drawer…loving that so far!
I feel that the sublimation equipment usually needs to be connected directly to an outlet. My FYD Life oven doesn't heat up unless I connect it straight into an outlet.
With the cricut autopress, you can release the pressure early. It is an autopress, but you're not trapped to the timer. I can tack down something for a few seconds if needed.
I just want to let you know that I purchased the HTVRont auto heat press and after using it a few times (the very same day), the timer stopped working and the machine kept beeping. I emailed the company twice and they never responded. I tried calling them and they never responded. I also know of one other person who had a problem with the same HTVront auto heat press and the company would not respond to them. I was lucky, I purchased mine through Amazon and could return it within 30 days.
I just purchased the Vevor Auto Press, because as much as I love Cricut, I can't afford their Auto Press. I have seen other videos on here of people talking about the pros and cons of this machine. I have also read some of the comments on here and I think with a machine like this, maybe plugging it directly into the wall outlet and not an extension cord or power strip might be the way to go. When I get mine, I'll let you know.
An issue like this could happen with anything. It could've even have happened to someone who purchased the Cricut one. I'd be more interested to know how their customer service handles it versus a knee- jerk reaction because of a random issue.
Thank you for this honest review. I was thinking about getting the Vevor auto press because I can't afford Cricut auto press. I watch your videos all the time and have learned so much from you. I look forward to your next video. 😊
I have this auto press and it did it to me once. I called, they asked me to let it cool down and then plug it into the wall. Once I did this it was fine and has been fine ever since. If that had not worked they were more then willing to return it for a full refund. Maybe look at options instead of knocking the machine.
Did you actually turn on the heat press? I watched where you set the temperature and time and pressed in the middle of the button, but I did not see you hit the bottom center of the dial where the start button is. Sorry if I missed something. I also was told like previous commenters that extension cords shouldn't be used with heat presses. I was told it can damage the internal wiring of the press. I'm curious what Vevor customer service said the problem could be. Thanks for all the great videos!
I was soooo excited about the cricut auto press but babbbaaay that sticker price sucked alllll the excitement out of me.😂😂😂😂 I saw this one and that price is nice so I’m glad you are doing a demo on it.
I have a vevor and did have to return mine as mine did the same. Got a replacement and no issues since. Did get a Cricut autopress today as they are half price. Are they being discontinued? I also have a 16x20 heatpress.
Since the Vevor version doesn't have preset buttons, does it just start up with the last setting that you used or do you have to start from zero every time?
STOOOPPPP iiiitt!!! It's so pretty and is a nice size!! I just wish pressure was still adjustable on all the auto presses these companies are making. Well, that and that it heats up in this case, lol
Has anyone seen yet or heard about the New Auto Press by Maker's Bliss? There was a kick starter, I participated in the kickstarter but have yet to receive the machine.
Yes, those Teflon fumes will kill any pet birds. When we had our first birds when our kids were young, we got rid of any Teflon coated pans. I was so grateful the Vet told us this info!!
I have been hearing more and more rumors that the Vevor brand has been inconsistent with quality which is such a disappointment because they have nice looking presses. I am on the Amazon Vine program and squealed with delight (yes...literally) when an auto press was available. It's a YitaHome brand. It's the same style as the Vevor, same price as the Vevor. I agree with you that this style press is weird to set the time and temp on. Only time will tell if this one stands the test of time, I've only had it for a month and used it 3-4 times so far. Thank you for doing the reviews that you do,y'all are amazing!!
I think there is a lot of truth to the saying you get what you pay for. I get wanting to get a bargain and save money but I think our need for bargains is why there is such mediocre products on the market.
If any crafter owns any birds, do not use this heat press or anything with teflon - it will kill your bird(s) . Also, the cricut autocross has the option to open and close it manually it has a button on it to push and change it where you would open it manually
I get that you aren't able to recommend something that you can't test out, however, to pretty much dismiss it just because it's cheaper due to an issue that could happen to anyone, isn't really professional. I've had a few Cricut machines that had issues and had to be returned because of a faulty machine. It has nothing to do with it being cheaper... I agree with another comment, I would at least give them a chance to fix it and see how customer service handles it. Faulty machines happen.
I am glad that there are some cheaper options for auto-presses being made available, but I would not buy this one because I had purchased a different type of heatpress from this company and it did not work right out of the box. It was a nightmare dealing with the company because customer service was overseas. They did finally send me another model after much back and forth, but I can no longer trust this company and their quality. If you are looking for an autopress, there are some that have been on the market for a while and are of better quality since they are made by companies that have been making heatpresses for many years. While you may not be able to get on for $200, they are still a few hundred cheaper than the cricut model.
Purchased and returned it immediately. Junk!!! Can’t close manually which may be an issue with those heating DVT sheets. Dial system is nothing like Cricut. The plate size is not accurate. HTVRONT does not respond email support. Cricut, Support by phone! You get what you paid for. Don’t waste your money.
I'm so sorry this didn't work out. I hope they send you a full refund. Thank you for doing these tests for us so we know which products are the best working and the best price. Sincerely appreciate you!!! 🩷🫶🤗🩷

I have the Vevor auto press and i love it. One thing that was recommended by an electrician friend was to plug it into an outlet and not an extension cord or power strip. I hope this helps a little.
Why is that?
@avadenerowe4874 It can overheat and cause a fire. Just like you wouldn't plug a space heater to an extension cord or powerstrip.
Any heavy appliance/machine should always be plugged into an outlet.
Ooh thanks for the info.

@karenm1969 which do you have? I would love to see.
What is the one you’re using now?

I have the Starcraft heat press and love it. I have had for over a year and never had any issues!!

I understand completely what you are talking about. Some appliances are make for direct access to an outlet.
Thank you for this honest review. I was thinking about getting the Vevor auto press because I can't afford Cricut auto press. I watch your videos all the time and have learned so much from you.
I look forward to your next video. 😊
You are so welcome!🙂
I have the cricut auto press and I absolutely love. I've had it for almost a year and it has not disappointed me. I got mine from Hsn.
I have this auto press and it did it to me once. I called, they asked me to let it cool down and then plug it into the wall. Once I did this it was fine and has been fine ever since. I appreciate your review and recommendation!!! Thanks Tanner
Any time!

This definitely was not a waste of time--it was extremely informative. Thank you for the input!

I always say, “Cheaper is not always better”. I bought an HTVRONT heat press. It’s half the price of Cricut.
I have been using the HTVRONT auto press and have been very happy with it.
Soooo appreciate your honest reviews! Thank you for posting the video!
You're so welcome!
Thank you for trying out these machines and giving us the info!
You're welcome!
I’ve only ever used htv once and it was on wood. I used parchment paper and my oliso iron.
Consistency is key. Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome!
Since the Vevor version doesn't have preset buttons, does it just start up with the last setting that you used or do you have to start from zero every time?
Thank you for this video Tanner!! What heat press would you recommend for a just a crafter? I liked the price point of that machine!
Thank you for the transparency! I have the HTV Ront auto press. I love it!
You are so welcome!

@jetbossard7923 me too. I paid shipping, now what🤷🏻♀️
You did not waste my time! You presented such important information.
Yay!!!
tanner is it plugged in
Tanner was you using a direct plug in or a power strip?
Thank you for the review!
You're welcome!
I can’t get the vivor. Teflon kills parrots and is not good for you past 300°F because of the fumes.
Oh my goodness!! I did not know this. I pray you didn't lose a precious pet to this effect.
THANK YOU so very much for sharing this.

@GlendasCreativePlace
Yes, you were very fortunate to have a good vet.
where do you purchase this auto press
Thanks for this. I have the cricut autopress , I love it, it's beautiful in my craft room, it works well and I would buy it again if I had to.
Wonderful!
Thanks for the heads up. I was looking at this machine - you saved me a huge disappointment! :)
Any time!
I have the HTVRONT auto heat press & love it.
Oh My Gosh! Thank you for bring this too our attention.
You're welcome!🙂
You should NEVER use a extension cord on a heat press…must be plugged in directly - then it will work fine!
Can you do a review on the HTVRONT auto press?
I have been hearing more and more rumors that the Vevor brand has been inconsistent with quality which is such a disappointment because they have nice looking presses. I love my Cricut Autopress
That sounds good.
I have found the ability to make my auto press manual by not pressing the handle down fully.
Yes, see my comment up above.
I get that you aren't able to recommend something that you can't test out, however, to pretty much dismiss it just because it's cheaper due to an issue that could happen to anyone, isn't really professional. The Cricut auto press was $600 on Prime day.
