I mean, I’m happy that any paintball manufacturing still exists in 2021 but I can’t think of a single situation where a player should buy this over a nice used electro marker for the same price. I guess it could be good for field owners as a rental if HK offers discounts on bulk orders. Even then, I imagine a lot of fields went out of business last year so there’s got to be pallets of Tippmann rental guns for sale right now.
Not only is it an unregulated blowback that is more expensive than the equivalent Spyder, it also can't easily have regulator or expansion chamber added later. A Spyder Victor or used model 98 just seems like such a better way to spend your money.
the easier/cheaper it is for people to get into paintball, while not having to lag too far behind in terms of competitive advantages, the better it is for the sport as a whole. it also makes people better players if cheap reliable markers are on the field, because that way it's more about skill then gear. therefore, a low price marker that actually works is always a good thing. PS: I would say, get this one, if you want your gear to be under 300 in total, just so you can join some friends occasionally, but you are not really into the game that much, or as junior gear. But, if you intend to play more than twice a year, invest a little bit more and get something slightly better. emek, gs mini etc.; it's just a better overall investment.
Admittedly, I haven’t played in awhile but what was good for the sport was the $300-400 electros like the Mini (and the Ion before that) that gave walk-on players an affordable step-up option from their Tippmann rental guns, while still offering the same fire power as the $1k+ DMs and Egos. Any time I dip my toes back into the sport I always buy yet another 10+ year old cocker and dump too much time and money into it so I never keep up with the new electro market. Has there been some nice sub-$500 successors to the Mini in the past couple years?
@@blueridge8992 yeah, I hear that. the Emek and etha2 is probly the closest thing right now. its a tad more money tho. Minis are still a thing as well and dye/proto have some offerings but ive never actually seen one out in the wild.
The Cronus is MILES better. Do NOT get one of these. The velocity is SUPER inconsistent from what I've seen from these things, whereas I still use my Cronus close to NINE years later.
@@Vic_outdoors that's good, although i have heard of many people having issues with the platform. I can't say the same with the Cronus for the most part.

I think it's great for beginners. Easy maintenance and no electronics to worry about.

Bruh....thats great but id rather buy an antique spyder
Facts
@l p The new ones, maybe. Not the old ones. The old aluminum bodied Spyders were very reliable.
This is what the sport needs more of.
2000$ guns are cool but they don't pull new players into the game.
If you drop 150 bucks and can't hit the broadside of a friggin Honda Odyssey you're not gonna have a good time

I believe I'm going to get one of these to add to my collection. ✌out from California👈😎👉
Don't do that.
I like that something for paintball came out lol
What barrel threads? If HK went with cocker barrels, they have a good contender for top of the budget baller class.
Autococker
