Ive given a lot of thought to this over the years. An AR is great with "support".. you better have firing pins, springs, extractor retaining pin (like I lost overseas trying to clean it). The glock by far for auto loading.. Im kinda leaning towards my 35 rem in 336 marlin and 357 revolver, two sets of dies and a bag full of .357 bullets to reload..

See it depends on the scenario, given the opportunity to prepare like you said, sure take something you can reload. Good choices too btw. But say you are stuck on a shtf scenario with a heavy fight outside your home camp area, what are the chances you will find spare .35 rem rounds to fill your pack? So the question is, one rifle for life, if we start with our preferred loadouts can we utilize battlefield drops?

@@superfly83 lol! Yes I know! Dilemma right!! I love the AR.. but I cant clean it with a stick and piece of sock.. I get it, so many scenarios..

That's not even mentioning in my state I cannot use the AR to hunt. Now I grew up shooting lever and I'm pretty quick and really accurate with it. You mentioned .357, my .357 lever is threaded for my 36m holds 10 rds and I can fire almost as quickly as my ar, but the lever is quieter, arguably more accurate, and inarguably more reliable and easier to maintain.

That's a hard one. If I was somewhere with larger game than normal whitetail deer I'd do #2, but for me and my area #1.

Don't mention it brother, solid gun content my friend. When do we get a peek at the range? You have a beautiful collection but I'm beginning to think you don't feed these poor poor neglected babies.

@@superfly83 Great Question, and well timed. I'm actually working on teaming up with another pewtuber to make a shooting video happen soon. Stay tuned!

Guess I'd go w/either. What I settled on yrs. ago was scout rifle .308/7.62Nato w/ ar/m-14 mags & 10mm/40S&W in a revolver. Each to his own, I guess. You left out survival or battle for main purpose. In which case I'd stick w/my choice, only a lot of hiding out would be in the plan. Oh yea good video!
