Can't imagine how the hell one would be able to retrieve their board while on the kite in those conditions. With those kind of swells I feel like no amount of body dragging would get you to your board.
A board can often outrun you with breaking waves. Finding it is not easy though.

That was scary. My friend and I want to learn kite boarding. He just spent the weekend with his cousin, a kiter. His cousin was flying to kite on the beach and in a split second was pulled 15 ft into the air. He hit the ground so hard, he was knocked out. He would have died hard my friend and his sister (an MD), not removed the sand from his mouth and put him in the recovery position.

If you want to play with giants, you have to be willing to be stepped on. Good job boys. That was some awesome work to get everyone out safe.
I remember the 1st time I went over the falls in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Time just slows down, very similar to getting contact in a deployment (that’s another story).
Waves are not very high but is sea is very messy.

Genuine Question. If you’re wearing sunblock. Why choose blue that makes you look like a smurf? And why put it on half your face?Perhaps choose a clear one and put it on all of your face? Maybe I’m missing the science

It's zinc. Very strong sunblock. Usually used just on nose, cheeks and ears in combination with regular sunscreen.
