A/D/S used to have a set 320is or 335is that were legendary. These look eerily similar with smaller magnets and much lower power rating and crossover components that look smaller. Speaker quality is measured in weight of the components like it was said on the video.
The 2F version of these is 2 ohm, with a high RMS rating and decent sensitivity. Is there a benefit, and would they play decently from head unit power (20-25 watts)?
What is the diameter of the tweeter once removed from it's casing? I would like to install where the factory tweeters currently are. I have a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST.
@Mathew Long most Americans use standard not meteric fyi. That makes it 1.8 inches without the pods and 2 inches with pods. I believe your measurements are slightly in the large side.
OH... SO THOSE PLASTIC rings it comes with are not necessary? they must be for just protection... I was worried when I pulled them off to get to the screws and then more worried when I couldn't put them on.
There are DB settings if you pop the cover off the crossover which can mellow out the tweeters. Generally "loudness" is all in the ears of the beholder, but they can handle 70w RMS each set.
late reply but i just put the 6.5 comps in and they are perfect. tweeters set on -3db. in my opinion these sound a lot warmer than my 1st gen alpine type R comps
@@cesar1253 never too late lol. i must say, if you order from sonicelectronix.. the warranty service is great. i had one of my coax woofers go out and got it exchanged with zero problems.
Speakers used linked in the description of the video!
I love how you guys hooked them to an amplifier because in all reality component speakers need to be amped great video
why
@@lowcountryadventures5549 cuz
@Lowcountry Adventures because they need "clean" signal strength and power to make clear crisp sound depth
Provo? As in Provo, UT? Nice! Not far from me. Thanks for the review!

I have set's never gotten to install yet but I'm hoping soon.
I think, those speakers would sound much better, in a 10-12-litres box!
I'm new and subscribe and notification gang! Can you show me what setup you are using and explain why and what plz?

Would these be too” cheap “or overkill for a audio control DSP amplifier?
Is the 280 rms for all 4 speakers or one side?
On box its written 140-280 watts, and on speaker its written 50 watt only. How come ? tweeters power also included in 140-280 range ?
Each speaker is 70w rms (mid-range and tweeter) combined. 140 is both pairs speakers in the box and 280 is the max power.
I'm running the nvx vsp525kit active what should be the crossover settings
i like to cross my tweeters at 6.5k and up mid bass i would do a bandpass cross over from 90-6k hz

Bass sounds distorted
filmed on an iPhone 6
Ive read some peoples reviews on these speakers, saying they're nice, but can be a bit bright or harsh. Is this true? Also how loud do these get?

They look very nice, but sound is not very impressive to me. I was expecting more. Sound small.
