Mining Geodes in Western Illinois | Jacob’s Geode Mine

- Good evening everyone and welcome to my channel! In the first collecting video of 2022, we head west to Hamilton Illinois to mine some geodes! You’ve seen this place a couple times before, but this time around I was able to focus a bit more on the film making side of things!
We visit Jacob’s Geode Mine (find some info on the mine here! findingrocks.com/cgi-bin/viewl...) for some morning collecting just before a storm rolled in, so there weren’t many other folks there, in fact, the first 2 hours I was the only one there! I was able to get 2 buckets filled this trip, and ventured a bit out of my comfort zone to a new spot! I got a lot of footage this time around, so there will be a part 2 to this adventure coming out in 1 week!
The song you heard in the beginning was made entirely from sounds I personally recorded in my shop, and mixed and mastered into that song with the help of my brother, the TRUE Nick Cannon! So big shoutout to my little bro for all the help!

Awesome intro I had to rewatch it a few times, that was so cool how you put it together, hearing Betsy crack open the the geodes sounded like you were producing beats.
So many little geodes looked like marbles, nice score on the your biggest geode from this location 👍
