When ya spend a number of years or decades in prison, your emotional maturity stops the day you go behind the wall. When I got out the things I did up till the day I went in are the only things I know about life on the street and I started thinking I should dress the same talk the same... I could recall everything I did up to that point but I didn't realize my friends kept living, experiencing life... and I hadn't. So I get why he can recall it so well and why he talks the way he does
This is one of those stories that make very intriguing movies. You can't knock the hustle, because there are underlying conditions that lead these guys into behaviors that all stem from just wanting to survive in a callous world. Unique is very intelligent. He learned at an early age how to survive in the jungle.
