They don’t know squat . If you got bread you may be able to buy your way out . Lawyers beg the prosecutor for mercy and the judge decides if they want to give the lawyers clients mercy. They let just enough people off to Make the whole thing believable but anyone that had had to actually deal with the system knows it’s corrupt and not about justice.

Sean seems like a good dude. I actually bought and read his book. One thing though, the adage is that you’ll end up either dead or in jail. That’s not always true. Sometimes... you get tired. You get yourself a job that keeps you away from the block. You meet a girl that sees something in you that you didn’t see in yourself. You learn how to save your money, and put it to good use. You and your girl build a house away from the ruckus, and raise a family. 20 years later you look back and wonder how you got where you are...not because you’re disappointed, but because you’re thankful.

That sounds like some adults were not on their job with that kid. I grew up around a bunch of killers many of them did football numbers for bodies they caught. But those same killers would trade that time for another shot at the decision they made to kill in the first place.. I'm telling you from direct experience..

I am from uptown aka N.W. D.C. and Sean is right about Benny. Accept he ran out of
bullets and he took a gun from one of the officers he killed and shot hisself. That’s the only part Sean was wrong about. Benny wrote a letter and left his apartment. Went to the precinct and went on cop kill mode. He actually was directed to the wrong part of the precinct and wasn’t able to shoot any of the intended officers. All the once that he killed had nothing to do with the case that was being investigated or tried to lie on him about being a snitch.

Coming off the porch don’t just mean you selling drugs. And selling drugs don’t mean you came off the porch. I sold a bunch of bags of weed between 11-12. Used to steal it from my mom and her boyfriend and sell it to the older kids, they were getting mad good deals off my young dumb ass. I started fending for myself at 13/14 though and if I was to say I ever “came off the porch” I’d consider it then.
