The older J35 v6 was excellent until them forced rod bearings recalls which tbh affects and affected a lot of vehicles , more than what Honda is saying.

I own a 4runner. But I think Honda hit it out of the park for anyone that wants more capability without needing to just look straight to Subaru and also doesn't need the body on frame of something like a 4runner. Honda also did good by having the naturally aspirated v6 with the 10 speed in it. I think this is a perfect blend of comfort, tech, and capability. This will fulfill 99% of what people will end up doing when it comes to taking the family on an adventure.

Skid plates and recovery hooks are a great add…hope this follows through to the Pilot.
There’s just more room in the Pilot. That became obvious to me when you showed the tire vertically mounted in the back.
Your thumb nail says Pilot that’s what made me click!
I have a 2022 Pilot Trailsport, I have driven passports, but prefer the longer interior.
Also, when hauling children, I prefer the bucket seats 2nd row, makes for easier movement into the 3rd row, plus third row long legged people can stretch on longer trips.
Boo on the no height adjustment.
Makes for a longer ride, for taller people who can not get comfortable.
    Good info
You mentioned higher ground clearance by 1 inch, so what is the ground clearance? 8.5”
10 speeds, too many gears…5 would be so much more comfortable.
I have a 9 speed and when driving by school zones or in Parks, that 12-25mph is uncomfortable, especially if it’s even slightly hilly… seems to have a hard time picking the right gear.
    Good show you 2
    Thx

Is the Passport bigger or smaller than the Pilot? I'm not familiar with Honda model lines.

I have a 2023 Honda Passport. It already had an outdated interior when I bought it new. The selling points were its V6 naturally aspirated engine and the fact that it runs on the cheapest gasoline.

Would love to test drive one of these. Just wondering how high off the ground the trunk opening is. I have large dogs and really need something they can get into easily.

I test drove the 2024 Passport and I was impressed by the functionality but I felt the styling was quite plain (basic). The biggest negative was the price. The dealer was asking $60k!

I like this better than our 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport. The front tow hooks, the trail watch system that they didn't put on the Cndn Trailsport, the bigger screen, increased ground clearance ( although more would have been better to even some Subarus have more), Bose sound system, ventilated seats are nice improvements over the Pilot Trailsport. The internal mounted full size spare is nice although a mounted full size spare on the back on a swing out would have been nicer even if they would have to change the tailgate design. A big improvement over the old Passport and current Pilot Trailsport.

It will be competitive in the suv mid size department with the 4Runner coming out too in spring. Hard to decide between this or the turbo 4Runner but don’t want to deal with turbo

Great looking and much nicer than the previous model!!! The Ridgeline will be changed to look like the Passport, only in a pickup form!!!

Great. It would also be interesting to see what re-designed Ridgeline is going to look like. Probably 2027 year model

Still prefer my new Pilot Trailsport just wish they did it with the Elite Trim mixed in that this new Passport does. Has the same ground clearance and more storage space. Hard to see why Honda even us still making the Passport if they weren't going to make it more comparable to the 4Runner

I see Bronco Sport rear quarter and GMC Acadia front with with this Land Cruiser/FJ vibe. It does look good overall and V6 is a win.

I love the real buttons and knobs. I rented a new Mustang convertible in Hawaii last month and the controls were a nightmare. You had go through hoops to change anything; I'd never buy that car for that reason. Simple is good.

There's also the opposite problem of way too many buttons and knobs, as seen on the Toyota Highlander. The Passport seems to have the things we need the most with real knobs and buttons, and the stuff you'll set once and forget hidden away in the touchscreen.

Quite nice. We’re looking to replace our 2021 Outback Touring Turbo. It’s our 6th or 7th Outback and we’re tired of them. Need something that we can have our medium sized dog in the back steak. Would be nice to have a bench seat to make her special room. We’ve been through the BMW X5 diesel, the Mercedes, and Porsche 911 cars. But we’re going back to normality. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Love your channel.

Isn’t there an upcoming recall on Honda V6 motors. I read that 1.4 million Honda and Acura Models with the V6 are affected in theUS.

    • @fredmoss4540
      @fredmoss4540 Месяц назад

As of this time No Recall on this newer engine. This is engine is from newer 4th Generation Pilot 2023-2025. It doesn't have VTEC and is Dual Overhead Cam.
      It's a more emissions compliant.
