I once met Bjork in a tiny nightclub in lower Manhattan New York. Myself and a friend asked her if she was Bjork and she replied "Sometimes I am, sometimes I am not."
Bjork is her own genre. She's one of those few musicians/vocalists who is just driven by a weird and wild creative energy. She's Icelandic, so her accent is very unique and her pronunciation really adds to her unique style.
The first time I ever heard Bjork's voice, she was the vocalist for The Sugarcubes and the song was Birthday. I said out loud, "WTF is this? and how can I get more of it?"
The Sugarcubes are really quirky, but they have a vibe that's quiet cool.part of that is because Bjork is strangely unique with her creativity and vocal style.✌out

Bjork is a genius musician. She is a "Woman of the Sagas", to become a historic figure in Iceland. She also made a movie once, Dancer in The Dark. It might be the saddest movie ever made.
I got my wisdom teeth out when Dancer in the Dark came out on dvd. I was sobbing so hard on all the bloody gauze, my grandmother rushed in and cried “are you ok ? Is it your teeth?” I just garbled a snotty “ it’s the movie!” She rolled her eyes at me so hard.
She's a actually in several movies. Dancer in the Dark is most notable. The Juniper Tree is another. Look up her IMDB. She's also in The Northman which just came out somewhat recently.

In this episode of Brad & Lex, "Be ready, be ready to get confused." Lex seems to stay ready as Brad replies "facts" at the entrance to this sonic joyride. Versitility = "she does everything" but Lex doesn't seem able to handle the package so Brad removes his YKWIM hat and places one of leadership atop his head advising Lex to just "let go" in which she heeds but with unanswered questions. Bjork's crying tones, words, and synthy guitars perplex Lex leaving her utterly discombobulated and frozen while Brad remains the comforting tour guide with a confident and controlled "side to side sway".

Bjork is one of a kind, quirky and eccentric, she has an amazing vocal range and her Icelandic accent gives a unique pronunciation of words. This was a bit of a deep one to start with. I love what you said about “definitely, definitely, definitely” being childish but in a good and innocent way. I totally agree with you. I hope having seen the video didn’t paint my interpretation, but I think that childish innocence is because it’s an animal’s perspective on us. Life is tough and complex, and we humans have to navigate tricky waters in the world we’re living through. Our huge range of emotions can render us completely illogical as we try to make sense of it all. But do we ever take time to think about the other animals we share the space with? They have to do their best to survive as well. And if they’re able to process any of what they see of us whenever they may have to deal with us, it must be wildly confusing. This song reminds me that it’s probably a very healthy thing to put ourselves in their places from time to time. Maybe that would help us to live with a bit more grace and humility. Maybe we could try to be less terrifying to them. And if we’re going to be as confusing as we are, maybe it’s better to be confusing for our potential for compassion than for our cruelty.
Look for Bjork's videos: Human behaviour, I miss you, Isobel, Bachelorette. They are amazing. Cobain and Bjork were best pop-rock artists in 1990's, I think.

Bjork is amazing... I saw her in concert and she had this 25 foot tall tesla coil shooting out crazy lightning bolts that burned the air and made you hair stand up... the sound of the electricity was the "beat" of the song.
Bjork is a songbird from Iceland, and Human Behavior is from her album Debut from '93, which is probably one of her most accessible. Her music became somewhat more complex with time, as did her visual image.
Bjork enchanted me from minute zero. Such a great song. I mean "there is definitely no logic to human behavior" says it all. The whole Debut album is worth a listen. So glad I live in a world with Bjork in it. Thanks for the review.
Remember back int he 90s i was at Glastonbury festival and we were sat in a field near where Bjork was playing, there was a shooting in the field where she was playing.
Bjork is one of the most unique artists that came out of the '90s she boarders pure Genius or she is just batshit crazy 🤪😆😄 there's no middle ground when people first hear Bjorks music
Not the easiest entry point to get into Bjork, lol. It does show how odd and unique she is though, and I hope you check out some more accessible songs, like Hyperballad, Army of Me, and Joga.
She began in a punk-inspired band called the Sugarcubes (80s). I remember playing the hell out of their first CD, Life's too Good. They only produced three recordings and then Bjork went on her own. As you can probably tell by her name, she's not from the US (Iceland). If you're into the avantgarde and unusual, she's the girl for you. Go watch her videos. They are just as unusual as her music and singing. Good stuff.
Björk's catalogue of songs are truly a unique journey of sound. There is only one Björk Guðmundsdóttir. If you enjoy her singing, you should hear her speak, she's incredibly brilliant, and absolutely adorable.
Love Bjork. Love your reaction. So genuine. For this song the beat always got me. You could put this on in the background all day....which is what I used to do. She's from Iceland, so she has an accent for sure.
So weird....back in the day I never thought of this as a particularly weird song, this always felt as the most normal pop song Björk ever did. Only now that I hear it for the first time in quite a few years, I notice how weird it really is. Weird in a good way, she is just so unique in everything she does. And that voice....no one else on this planet sings like her.
She was originally in the Sugarcubes - check out 'Hit', it's a blast! :) She's from Iceland - a very interesting character, a brilliant mind, and one of the cutest humans on the planet!

Absolutely lovveeee Björk! ❤️ she is also independent and does the bests herself. Always meaningful lyrics. Love her.
Bjork enchanted me from minute zero. Such a great song. I mean "there is definitely no logic to human behavior" says it all. The whole Debut album is worth a listen. So glad I live in a world with Bjork in it. Thanks for the review.
Interestingly Bjork wrote Madonna's Bedtime Story....and you can definitely tell. The genre is avant-garde.
You guys are bringing back a lot of memories with Bjork, Cake, Butthole Surfers, NIN, Talking Heads, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, Primus, etc.
She’s a total one-off musical genius ❤️
Remember back int he 90s i was at Glastonbury festival and we were sat in a field near where Bjork was playing, there was a shooting in the field where she was playing.
Bjork is one of the most unique artists that came out of the '90s she boarders pure Genius or she is just batshit crazy 🤪😆😄 there's no middle ground when people first hear Bjorks music
Genius. End of discussion.
@@andyandy2629 Andy Andy says who ? You bitch please 😆🤣😂😆🤣😂
Bjork is amazing. PLEASE do more. One Day, Come to Me….. her voice and talent are amazing.
Not the easiest entry point to get into Bjork, lol. It does show how odd and unique she is though, and I hope you check out some more accessible songs, like Hyperballad, Army of Me, and Joga.
Yeah,... They probably should have stated out with the Sugarcubes.
Pagan poetry is a must.
Bjork is an 80's/90's favorite...for me especially in my "theatre/drama" era in high school... she is her own... as well as Tori Amos....
Björk sang in a group called The Sugarcubes before she went solo. They got known for the hit Birthday
My favorite bjork song. Thanks. Try big time sensuality.
Bjork is very unique and super cool. I highly recommend "All is Full of Love". Make sure you watch the music video. It's fantastic.
She was originally in the Sugarcubes - check out 'Hit', it's a blast! :) She's from Iceland - a very interesting character, a brilliant mind, and one of the cutest humans on the planet!
Maybe "birthday"? I saw the Sugercubes in 1989 - great concert!
@@dpe4 Birthday by sugarcubes is awesome original song! either English language version or Icelandic version are 10/10!!
@@dpe4 Yes! Birthday too! :)
she was in an earlier band, Anarcho Punks KUKL who were on Crass records
Love me some Bjork. The video for that song is killer.
