Fantastic playing! Was just sight reading this last night, and came to RUclips to hear what it's *supposed* to sound like. Great ensemble playing - the flexibility in tempos is beautiful, and everyone's tightly locked in to each other.
It's crazy to me that the last five Dvorak string quartets aren't better known. In addition to the incredible gift for melody and countermelodies that he always had, once he matured the rhythmic complexity of his music and the rhythmic independence he gives each instrument is really unmatched.
Super performance 12:20 in the second movement is a magical moment, one of many in this piece.
Movement I: 00:04
Movement II: 10:58
Movement III: 22:06
Movement IV: 29:26
Right up there with the slow movement of the New World symphony.
滅茶苦茶に良い曲
