    Dude how in the heck did you get the pulley off that iron shaft?Did you heat the plastic up or pried it up or what? in your video 8:15 up sped by that part of the video,I couldn't get mine off😮,I pried and pulled up it wouldn't bulge,so how did you get the bottom part of the old pulley off? Your help is muchly appreciated,Thanks dude

    Great video!! What are the initial driving symtoms before the transmission pulley fails? I have over 200hrs on my JD130 lawn mower. I just replaced the main drive belt. I have noticed there is less and less power while going forward or in reverse. When I raise my foot off the gas pedal it seems to regain some power but not much it then gets slower and slower. Would the transmission pulley be a likely culprit?

      @richardw4132 mine just failed at 201 hrs. That little screw broke or fell out and the metal cap disappeared in my field. When you say "less power", do you mean less speed? The short belt around that pulley can wear out and cause less top speed. But try this: Take a blow gun and try to clean every bit of grass off the top of the trans. From all angles. It builds up under that pulley and in the linkage. When my top speed slows down, that always helps.

    So Im in the process of replacing mine, I notice on the new set there is a hex shaft, when the two pieces are put together, the upper does not spin, they lock together as and spin as one piece. This might be correct, if it is what is the point of having a bearing on the shaft?

    Why won't my D105 go into high gear? I replaced the pulley but not the belt. Sadly, the existing pulley looked fine.

      I had trouble taking out the bottom pulley too. After I pulled the release bar the back and placed the tractor in neutral, it came out right away.

    • @fixinitproductions2464
      @fixinitproductions2464  3 года назад

      Hi there and thanks for watching. The OEM belt number is GX20072 or an alternative belt would be GY20570. They can be found at Lowes here is the link www.lowes.com/pd/John-Deere-42-in-Deck-Drive-Belt-for-Riding-Mower-Tractors/1000594523?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-sol-_-google-_-lia-_-146-_-moweraccessories-_-1000594523-_-0&placeholder=null&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpf2IBhDkARIsAGVo0D3KAodfmA6fKGirMBDOIokqKQDrA1QAQOKQHNT91OXpm0b6aWwUv2QaAsk_EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
      Also the specs on the correct size belt are 1/2" x 103.875".

    Fact is every 100/200 hours expect to replace it, that’s what I see happening in our shop
    Just cheap crap
    Green doesn’t mean Good anymore folks
    Buy from a dealer is smart 😊

    What the heck kind of a world are we living in when you take your equipment to a repair shop and they say, ehh, that things not worth fixing.... this country has gone to pot 😢 I took my engine to a local shop for a simple repair and he kept it for a month no call nothing, I told him to just keep it 😅

      Don’t buy any brand with the plastic trans period 😊😊😊😊
      Most shops charge for 5/6 hours labor 😢
