I am currently in the Philarmonic in Liverpool on 4th July 2024 . Alexei paid for his beer in coins, slightly more expensive these days £6.50 for a pint of Paulaner German beer.
Alexei has been consistently funny from the start of his career. He has not needed to update or modify his style, delivery or character at all, because it was perfect from the start. He was my favourite comedian in 1982 and he still is.

He keeps getting better! 'Sandwich Bar' is a smart, daft, eclectic joy.
Rediscovered after many years. Priceless.
A cup of phlegm with a tree growing out of it.
I’m sat in Stanley park watching this.
12:19 brilliant commentary on art schools. Definetly the best part of the video in my opinion
This is an absolute gem . Thank you for posting.
You're welcome 👍
Thanks for originally recording then looking after it and posting it.
No problem. Glad I was able to find it

Knew this was coming on when they transmitted it, but didn't see. Now it's 2024 - got there in the end.
18:17 Alexei dancing cracks me up everytime, so funny!
He was really funny. He made me LOL when I was a kid.
Consistently funny and relevant … his latest podcast is worth a listen
The ending suggests this was made in 1983.
You are correct. Thanks. Updated

I doubt Mark E Smith would have got on with him, and why on earth would he interview him ?

I lasted 4 minutes. Yet more proof he was never funny. Absolutely brought The Young Ones to an abrupt halt comedy wise every time he appeared.
Never a more accurate statement! Alexi sale was fast forward time
Your opinion is not a fact.
