Weee!!! This looks like fun! You can tell how important it is to have a seasoned raft guide and good paddlers that know how to listen to orders to get them through the rapids. It is all very technical. Not just a fun ride down the river.

+Brian Brickell The best time to go is definitely during Gauley Fest, which is in mid September. Lots of people are there, a festival with bands and vendors at night, and a party atmosphere. I have never gone with an outfitter; we always just bring our own rafts and kayaks. From what I can tell though, ACE seems like a fun outfitter to go with.

Did the double upper 9/12/19 during their fall dam release dates,man it was freezing outside so I would check out their release dates for when you are going to be there.. adventures on the gorge and you need to ask for guide named josh,hes the best.
