Out of all the playable characters, it is safe to say that Niko suffers the most tragedy simply because of the fact that he originated from the balkans.
GTA is like the Mario franchise. The first cemented the legend. The 2nd is largely forgotten as far as gameplay in the series go. The third game kept peoples attentions and imagination. Never thought about this until now.
I've had PSP and Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories as my first GTA games. LCS theme is suuuuch a banger, of course not the smooth jazz like in GTA III but it makes the player prepared for crime atmosphere. And VCS, imho, sounds more like 80s than Vice City theme. I think, because VC theme sounds more like the reference to 80s pop music while VCS theme is more dedicated to 80s rock with mix of synthpop.

I totally agree with your idea, back in the day I thought that GTA2 could work excellent with the mafia tone as much as GTA4 did. Both games have an excellent atmosphere as regards dark tones and crmnalistic sense.

I think it's unfair that Rockstar released the prequels to GTA 3 and Vice City only without having done the same for San Andreas. We got Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories (both good in terms of storyline settings), but there wasn't gonna be a San Andreas Stories. That's just wack. I wrote a letter to Rockstar a few years back, suggesting to them on the possibility of making San Andreas Stories, but needless to say, they couldn't because I'm not part of their company nor of any affiliated companies. I had a central plot of the story for San Andreas Stories and who should be the main character in my head (along with radio stations and lists of songs in my head too) that I shared with Rockstar and all, but no go. I know GTA 6 is gonna premiere its first trailer soon and I'm excited for that, but I sure would like it if San Andreas got its own Stories just like 3 and Vice City.

Actually, in GTA IV there's a very similar ringtone.
I love all of those games from the GTA franchise. Now about the themes... Well, I think Chinatown Wars is kinda annoying to my ears but I do enjoy the cultural oriental song with the chorus, either without my ears liking it. The hole other songs are great to me.

I think it's unfair that Rockstar released the prequels to GTA 3 and Vice City only without having done the same for San Andreas. We got Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories (both good in terms of storyline settings), but there wasn't gonna be a San Andreas Stories. That's just wack. I wrote a letter to Rockstar a few years back, suggesting to them on the possibility of making San Andreas Stories, but needless to say, they couldn't because I'm not part of their company nor of any affiliated companies. I had a central plot of the story for San Andreas Stories and who should be the main character in my head (along with radio stations and lists of songs in my head too) that I shared with Rockstar and all, but no go. I know GTA 6 is gonna premiere its first trailer soon and I'm excited for that, but I sure would like it if San Andreas got its own Stories just like 3 and Vice City.
