Mongolian Broccoli Beef in the pressure cooker

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    2 lbs stewing beef, cubed (small)
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    6 cloves garlic
    1tsp fresh ginger
    1 tbsp ginger
    ¾ tsp Chinese five spice
    ½ cup soy sauce
    ½ cup water
    Ground Pepper
    ⅓ cup Brown sugar
    3 green onions
    4 cups broccoli
    Serve on Rice

    9 minutes still on browning mode or did you switch it to the beef setting? Thanks for the recipe.

      9 minutes on High pressure. With my pressure cooker it starts the timer when it hits pressure and turns off after the time. I think the automatic settings are similar on the other pressure cookers.
      It is a pretty simple pressure cooker, it just has brown, warm & Hi/low pressure.
      Basic, but nice and it's served me well over a hundred uses.

    Could a person reduce soy sauce from the 1/2 cup you stated to 1/4 cup plus 1/4 c beef broth? Thanks for sharing video

      Definitely, it should actually work out quite nicely, a bit less intense on the soy sauce flavour, but I like making it up with beef broth. Broth and stocks are a great way to add some depth, check out my chicken stock recipe. ruclips.net/video/hvEGynLbgvA/видео.html.
