- Wanted to see what that late spring striper bite looks like and I must say it looked pretty dang good from where Im sitting!
Unfortunately and I guess fortunately I had to break this video up into 2 parts. After 2 weeks of editing and chopping and cutting out a good chunk of action it was still over an hour long and I didn't want the video to be totally void of any of the good tips and info I shared in some parts. Stick around for part 2 because I really shared a lot of little tips and info as we were pulling in some nice stripers 🙂

looking forward to part2. Nice job Terry!
Thank you Mike! I think folks will like Part 2 much more since it's pretty steady action without any filler 😁
Great video and thanks for sharing!
Thanks Ronald!! 😊
Terry - enjoyed the video and your talk at the club meeting tonight. Thank you for coming down. Chad
Thank you! I appreciated the invitation 🙂 We kinda went off center a little bit with the stocking chat etc but that's how it goes when I talk 😆 We start on stripers and then we make a wrong turn at Albuquerque 😅 (Bugs Bunny reference 😉)
this got me pumped!
I hope you have some new videos coming soon as well.
@@ronaldbrailey1503 we’re going tonight hopefully we’ll get them!
@@lannyirby7195 great I look forward to seeing it.
Love Jody's bait shop and those 2 lakes, lots of big trees they cut and left in the lakes up there they will kick your butt real quick lol
It's such a good little spot to get er the essentials and then be on the water minutes later 😊
That was a real pro staff move at the 28min mark some people need to take note on that one.😂😂😂
Yeah I kinda had myself in a pickle there didn't I 😅
How tight do you run your drags? I run mine around 12 to 13 pounds when am fishing over trees in the lake I fish.. from the looks how easy they took drag was wondering what pound test you run also
I run about 7 to 10lbs of drag m guessing. It really depends on the leader and style of hook. The smaller octopus hooks I use for herring tend to straighten out pretty easily so I don't run a head y drag with them no matter the leader I run
Great video. I have a cabin I rent out within minutes of Jody's bait shop and both lakes if you're interested in the future.
That's actually some great info to know! I was thinking about finding a place to rent next spring for an extended weekend or maybe even a whole week so I can really hit Russell hard 🙂
@@JerseycatsFishing I left a reply with a link to my cabin rental. Was it removed by RUclips?
If you're interested, I can send you the link some other way. The cabin is right beside Broad River Campground. It's probably 7 minutes or so from Jody's. So real close to a couple ramps on Russell and several on Clarks Hill as well.
