Searching an Elite Location for a Hot STRIPED BASS Bite!

- To kickstart my spring run sends in New Jersey I took a jog to northern New Jersey to explore a bunch of personally, previously unexplored fishing spots on the Raritan Bay in hopes of finding some hungry striped bass. After hitting a zillion spots I somehow lucked out and stumbled upon a hot bite in the fourth quarter of the day!

Thanks!
Reminds me of raking Calico crabs in the summer during a full moon as i think they were shedding and hammering Stripers between Manasquan and Asbury Park on the incoming water at night. My dad had a good friend that had a bait&tackle shop right at the Manasquan inlet and he would keep us posted. No cell phones or computer ls back then. We used to go "bobbing for eels" in the Delaware (take a long line and string up Nightcrawlers after catching them after it rained). My dad would take us out at night in his 12 foot boat, we'd load up on eels, and make a mint selling live eels to him after driving them down, eels in a big aerated tub. My dad was actually pretty popular and ran rod and gun clubs. We didn't have much money and he would make custom fishing rods from scratch. I remember him tying the eyes on with different color threads, he'd have to put 7 coats of varnish where he threaded. He even had a spot on an AM radio station near Princeton, NJ.
Anyway, I had your enthusiasm and still remember being about 7 or 8 fishing on the surf with him. He would peel the shell off the crab, tie it on the hook, cast it out for me...then, holding the straps of my hip boots. so the stripers wouldn't pull me in. He would take his jeep to Montauk with the guys from the fishing club and I remember waiting and waiting for him to come home with his catch. Back in the day, the limits were less strict.
I admire your enthusiasm, how you catch & release, and most definitely, how you run and breathe like you're in a marathon. This sport will stay with you forever, even with a wife and kids down the road
love the new truck and your college story. wish you all the best. i'm sure you'll be fine. you have the determination and drive. best of luck. i appreciate the videos.

Hope you grabbed clips as well Dillon.
excellent video
when you lose a lure that is embedded in a fish it is not your lose it is the fish who will most likely die from an embedded lure.
Hey bro I got a couple great spots up here for bass around Exit 105/109. If you come back up for fluke this summer lmk. I’ll point you in a good direction. I’m right in long branch
Do you ever fish top water for schoolies w straight braid?
Word of advice to never straight braid anything

Wouldn't fluorocarbon sink... negating the nature of the topwater plug
