    I started my girls on a cup at 10 days old back in the 60s. I breast feed them and they refused the bottle. So to give them water I used the cup.

    I understand why you use a cup so there is not bottle confusion. But why force the baby to wake to feed when they could simply wake and cry when they are hungry.

    This is silly. The baby is still sleepy and not hungry yet. Why force it to feed this way?

    • @TiffanySXEFIT
      @TiffanySXEFIT  8 месяцев назад +7

      No force required clearly the baby is awake ? And it’s to help her latch to the breast did you even know that?!

  • @cak813
    @cak813 Месяц назад +2

    If babies are hungry, there’s no “confusion”. I worked in a neonatal unit for 47 years and babies were able to switch back and forth between bottle and breast just fine.

  • @KatherineWillfong-zs9xb

    Babies have been feè this way since the begining of time. Listen to whatnis being feed. The mothers milk has not come in yet. This lessens confusions about nursing shen the mother can do so. The bottle makes a difficult transition

    Put the cup under the baby's tongue so they can use their tongue to draw in milk, as they would when breastfeeding.

    • @TiffanySXEFIT
      @TiffanySXEFIT  3 месяца назад +2

      @@Jacayrie she’s a nurse of over 20 years that’s what she’s doing teaching you all how to cup feed to help women and babies to breast feed

    • @Jacayrie
      @Jacayrie 3 месяца назад +1

      @TiffanySXEFIT I don't need taught. I already know how to do it. Having the lip of the cup under the tongue, helps with breastfeeding since a baby uses the back of their tongue to draw in milk on the breast, and doing it under the tongue helps to strengthen the baby's tongue, and it also helps the baby get used to this motion, to draw milk from the breast. It also reduces choking, since the baby will have control of the flow.
      Do it however you want. This was just a suggestion and not knock on the nurse's professional experience. It's not that deep lol.

    • @TiffanySXEFIT
      @TiffanySXEFIT  3 месяца назад +2

      @No ? Okay but that’s what the video is doing , you understand that right ? So I’m not quite sure where your wanting this to go but your comment shows a lot of deep lol

      @@TiffanySXEFIT I don't want anything from you. I only gave a helpful tip for those who are cup feeding and are unintentionally drowning their baby, so to speak, for every feed bcuz the parent can't control how much comes out, which in reality, they can control it by putting the edge under the baby's tongue and letting the baby do their thing, strengthen their tongue muscles for a better latch on the breast, more efficient milk removal, and let baby have control of the flow. Too much too fast, can cause colic or a feeding strike, if baby is uncomfortable during feeds.
      I'm always going to be a deep person and explain things in detail, bcuz then, it's understood better. It was just that...a helpful tip, with no emotion bcuz it's not the end all, be all of alternative feeding methods, but whatever floats your boat 😂.
      I actually liked your video, but if this is how you treat others for wanting to give more feedback that's different, yet effective, and beneficial for new, struggling parents, then I'm out.
      It's not like I said that it has to be done my way or else. It was just advice based on what I was taught, nothing more, nothing less. Take it or leave it. If it doesn't resonate with you, then move on. It's that simple and completely fine. You're trying to make nothing into something and I'm not stooping down to that low level. It won't accomplish anything, like some might think. It's really not that deep 😉. Merry Christmas. 😊
