Norkin was later permanently disbarred for practicing law while under suspension. The Florida supreme court cited his disrespectful conduct in this reprimand as evidence of his refusal to respect the rules of the courts.

I have spent roughly 46 years in litigation. Have worked with and before a lot of attorneys and judges in that time. There are lawyers with irascible personalities, sure. Some very excitable, some downright nasty in their bearing, some nearly histrionic, and some bitter, defensive and convinced of their own victimhood. I don't know the details here. But his smirk displayed to the Supremes indicates that despite any and all experience, this is a man with the temperament and maturity of a petulant child.

@Bob Thompson Any panel of jurists can and often does include men and women I find morally reprehensible ("Satan's People" is a fine label as you note, or alternatively "Cretinous Scumbags"), and often in the majority. The current U.S. Supreme Court -- my god, Kavanaugh, Barrett, Gorsuch, Thomas, Alito, is an ugly, corrupt, vile, historically anti-American and pro-fascist lineup of right wingers. But the bench itself is due respect from anyone before it. This lawyer's actions included practicing law while under suspension. That's pretty damned contemptuous, and of course unlawful.

This whole thing is a charade. The whole industry of lawyers that exist in America are overwhelmingly corrupt. That is their whole purpose. You can’t do something like without sounding ridiculous. Let’s talk about the lawyers who changed voting lawyers in 2020 and why they weren’t reprimanded for their clear abuse of the entire country. This is a joke and I’d be mocking them too.

This guy is a star! I've seen him in court!
My girlfriend and I were watching a 1983 action he was involved in. While opposing counsel questioned a witness, Norkin kept saying, "I object!", for no clear reason. He objected to a witness's answers. He didn't give a basis for his objections, which is weird. You always have to have an articulable reason for objecting.
The judge responded repeatedly with, "Denied." He didn't bother explaining. It was as though he knew he was dealing with a mental case.
    "Objection!" "Denied." "Objection!" "Denied."
We couldn't believe it. I was an attorney, and she was a law school graduate, so we knew he was objecting randomly. I told my girlfriend he should say, "I object on grounds that the witness's answer may tend to make me lose this case."
Came across his name while Googling an ethics question today, and now here I am. First time I've thought of him since maybe 2002.

Every word of what was said in this reprimand was false and so vague as to be legally inoperative. You see the jerk sitting behind me? After I came into the case the court found the lawsuit to be a fraud on the court and i won a jury verdict of $320,000 as damages caused by the fraudulent suit. No sitting judge ever sanctioned me or warned me they might sanction me because I never did anything very bad and they knew they were screwing my client. The accusation against the senior judge? Utter lies. The Bar investigated and prosecuted me in the midst of the litigation, breaking the law on dual-jurisdiction, obstructing justice, and breaking its own rules prohibiting them from doing that. I spent 21 years suing the police for civil rights violations, often wrongful death. I won millions for my clients and judges routinely broke the law to exonerate the cops. The government got tired of me winning money for victims of its abuse and decided to end my career and defame me. I could go on for hundreds of pages about the crimes committed by my opponents, the fraud of this prosecution, and the suffering they have inflicted on me, but nobody cares enough to read it. So the Supreme Court just decided to disbar him completely and wrote a blistering opinion.
"Moreover, given Norkin’s continuation of his egregious behavior following his suspension and during the administration of the public reprimand, we conclude that he will not change his pattern of misconduct," wrote the court. "Indeed, his filings in the instant case continue to demonstrate his disregard for this Court, his unrepentant attitude, and his intent to continue his defiant and contemptuous conduct that is demeaning to this Court, the Court’s processes, and the profession of attorneys as a whole. Such misconduct cannot and will not be tolerated as it sullies the dignity of judicial proceedings and debases the constitutional republic we serve."

@Bob Thompson I’m not sure why your so angry and extreme about everything, but I see why you but heads with everyone now. It’s not a criminal charge to be rude in day to day life, but court is a highly regimented situation and there are very specific expectation and procedures of behaviour for lawyers. Not sure what part of that is difficult to understand. A perfect example is the way he crossed his arms and laughed and smirked at the judge, you just can’t do that in court, which he’s well aware of because he’s a lawyer. They can’t argue or speak the way we are for instance, you get held in contempt. Not to mention you’re doing a huge disservice to your client because you’re screwing up his chances at getting a ruling in their favour. All I was doing was telling you what they said he did, which you asked. You say ten people told you off, looks like you’re the common denominator there.
