Why is PJ so underrated? Holy fuck she is a goddess
+Azazel Black Underrated? Certainly not. People whose musical knowledge go beyond the usual boring crap on the radio appreciate her and her music, She'll never have 350 million views on her videos but that doesn't matter... she's iconic.
+Lemony Chagall I think the fact that she doesn't has 350 million views is a sign that his music is quality. If you ask me few quality artists are as popular or nearly aspopular as what the masses usually like. Fame that's truly out of proportion may indeed be a sign that one's work may actually suck. But I agree she is well recognized and timeles for some of us. Not underrated at all.
I apologize. I was just getting into her music and was just thinking why have I not heard of her before.

Mass incarcerating, police violence, racial injustice. These things existed before 1994, but Bill Clinton made sure they would not go away.

She used to live down the road from my Ma and Pa. I caught a train to see them many years ago, stood up to get off the station and she stood up from the seat behind me. I did a kind of "oh fuck it's PJ Harvey " double take, regained my composure and did a highly acceptable smile and "'sup" at her, which she returned. Made my day. She's amazing. Super tiny and mega talented. And lovely too.

This one's not about desire, it's about being left, literally or metaphorically, by someone you love.
There's not a lot of music (especially with videos) that sends shivers up my spine, but this does it, every time! PJ is in a league of her own. I used to hide away and listen to this song on vinyl in the spare room, when I was getting away from a really bad and dangerous man I used to live with. PJ gave me comfort and courage to get away when no one else did. Thank you woman!

I've done that walk from Swyre down to West Bex beach in Dorset, UK but I forgot MY boots and had to go back up the hill to get them. I was staying a night in a 3 sided caravan of less sturdyness than the hut here seen. It was a good day in Polly County. But her voice? Ah yes. Her voice. There's passion. And weather. Takes your breath away.
