    thanks for this. Recently my swing has improved dramatically when I concentrate on extending my right elbow out as far as possible in the backswing (along with a huge turn). I searched for why this was working, and this video explains it but also has helped me see what is happening to help me flush my shots. Really appreciate this excellent teaching. Kid has a phenomenal swing, loved hearing that pure contact. Also like that you are not afraid to step in and demonstrate, that is helpful AND it proves your point that it's not just theory.

    All youths videos you share, these individuals are already very talented athletes in their own rights, you are a highly skilled professional fine tuning them. For me I am in aw of their ability to hit the ball.

    Any tips for bulkier/muscular guys to get this feeling? I have a heck of a time keeping my elbows close, gets me way out of position at the top of the back swing. Great video, great swing here...

    Idk if you remember me or not I commented on one of your videos a couple weeks back about feeling stuck shortly after impact but everything else being really good, my takeaway and backswing are money, good tempo, on plane, but it felt like I was hitting a sawed off shot and like holding the face open after impact. I troubleshot a couple things and figured out why I was getting that weird feeling just after impact, it was my hip bump and I was addressing the ball with a closed club face. You said something about how you throw a ball and where the pressure should feel like it’s at in your foot and the hip bump finally made sense to me, so at address I just gave myself the feeing of throwing a ball on the inside of my foot like I was pushing off and it bumped my hips correctly for the first time and it totally clicked in my head. In regards to the closed club face I was absolute closing it at address and delofting my irons probably by 2 degrees, I had to have the feeling that I was intentionally opening the club face and just letting the shaft be what got me aligned, it took me a little while and I had a bit of a different feel in my downswing, basically feeling like I’m swinging heel first and that has given me an extremely stable and square club face and my irons interact with the turf 100 times better. These 2 things have gave me a very repeatable motion, I no longer feel stuck after impact, I’m able to rotate fully through the golf ball and my swing has never felt better. I just wanted to say thank you, I’m sorry for this novel of a comment but I had to share just in case there’s someone out there experiencing something similar.

    Thank you very much for your video Mr Porzak. The left shoulder push left arm away is perfect tip for me that i always struggle in takeaway. Is it the same feeling right shoulder push right arm to strike the ball ? Thanks.

      Thanks for the comment. Once you have got the proper setup, set and backswing, then transition should just be a feeling of turning into the ball. Though we work a lot with our players on hand speed to keep the hands in front of the body! Thanks for the support!

    Adam I seen a tip on RUclips the other day and they said in the downswing you cannot straighten your right arm too quickly. In other words try to straighten your right arm as quick as you can. Is that true? I don't know if that's what Ben Hogan meant when he said he wishes he had three right arms

      As you are approaching into the impact zone this is true, not true from the top of the swing

    Hi, my right elbow narrows slightly on top of the back swing. You reckon I should push the club with both hands instead of just my left hand pad? Shank you (get it?)

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  2 года назад +1

      Yes but remember the left arm creates the width in the golf swing so if you do some left arm only practicing to the top of the swing you can then reach your right arm out put your hands on the club and move your right elbow in towards your left arm…
      Lots of hideki drills
