Just bought 2008 nautical blue gx470 with all service records at dealer 2 days ago and she is ready for upgrades. Outstanding vechicle. Also have a 2004 v6 Limited 4 runner with 200k on it and it literally rides and functions like brand new. Can't beat Toyota 💪
Well known in other parts of the world as Land Cruiser Prado 120, this car is brilliant! and so does the Prado 150 coming after. Had the 120, now the 150 all with 3L 1KD FTV diesel engine. Really good and reliable machines. Congratulations on your rig, good stuff!

I’ve been comparing it to other gx builds, it looks like it is mounted a few inches lower than the others. Let me know if you have found the secret. I’m putting this bumper on mine too and would like to fund out how they did it
What do you all do as jobs or career to enjoy a lifestyle like this? I need a new career path to be able to do what you all do and be passionate about it. My 9-5 as a Lexus parts adviser for 23 years is not a great paying gig and burning me out! Feel like wasting my life away everyday behind the dealership desk. Would love to get out and do this full time while there is time. But I do need a good stable financial earning. Love all your videos! Thank you and happy overlanding! 👍
Mine is stock and I get 16.4 but I drive highway. Would love to learn where the front and rear rig is available as well as what size rims and tires. Looks great!

In Australia these things are everywhere, they are known as a LC Prado. In Australia we know everything there is about off roading and overlanding.
Yeah, the scene is starting to pick up steam in the US. Over the past few years, Toyota's 4x4 has been going up in value verse 5-7 years ago.
So true, i wanted a 4Runner but the GX around here go for much less with better history and maintenance.

I own a '06 GX470 Sport Edition and a '96 Land Cruiser. I was suppose to sell the LC but I just can't. Both great rigs.
Love the vehicle. Currently driving an inexpensive 07 pilot. Would love to upgrade to this. Wish fuel was cheaper though!

Yes it does.
You can run regular and will be perfectly fine. The map will just pull timing. Many people use regular in their 2UZ engine exclusively.
ExpeditionOverland The 470 takes regular just fine. I think 460 requires higher octane
Yes, it says so on the interior gas cap door. I use regular most of the time with no issues.

I'd change out the stock fuel tank and get a bigger capacity custom one That way you don't need to carry fuel canisters if you don't want to.

Good luck. I found no one interested in making Sequoia bumpers at Overland Expo West. You'll need a friend with good welding skills.
