I won't say how long i wasted trying to load this damn thing... but thanks to this Video i figured out how to open it and then luckily i had 2 different size staples in my house... 5/16" 8mm fit perfect....this stapler made me feel like i wasted my life and had me questioning my whole existence but this video helped a lot i feel so much better Thank you @PreventViolence101

The Stanley and Arrow look like the exact same staple gun with 2 different names stamped on them. Probably why the Arrow staples fit.

I was frustrated too thinking I was doing something wrong....make sure you have the TR45 staples.....not the T50 staples.....both will be in 3/8 inches but the T50s are too narrow and won't fit......I sat there for a good twenty minutes before I started looking at the package after watching this video to see what I was doing wrong......I have the T50 3/8 in (10mm) staples.....

Imprinted on the side of the stapler itself it tells me it uses Stanley TRA series or Arrow JT21. So I actually have the correct staples… 😭
Home Depot does not carry the Stanley staples for the TR45 (Light Duty) Stapler. You have to buy the Arrow brand JT21 staples. If you bought the Arrow T50 or Stanley Heavy Duty staples they will not fit.
yup just did it, bought the TR45 and right next to the at Walmart is the stanley 3/8" heavy duty staples, you would think they would keep them away from each other. If you look at the staple box its shows the silver staple gun on it, but i guess its a different staple gun. Sheesh

Up until october 2010 "mental retardation" was the correct medical term. Now it is referred to as an intellectual disability. So now Im assuming what he meant by that was he himself as being "stupid" or " dumb". Im quite positive your friends won't be offended by him but maybe by you, their friend assuming and making a comparison to them and what this gentleman said "retarded". Its not the correct term anynore and he never said " mental". I'm sure he didn't even think twice about causing harm or anything close to do with your friends or anyone with intellectual disabilities. I bought 3/8" Staples but bc they were HEAVY DUTY, they wouldn't fit. This will be the 3rd time I have to go back to the store. Wtf?! If the size is right what difference does the "duty" make

Mine doesn’t have that it says model tr45 but it doesn’t have that thing that comes down 🤦🏻♀️ I have 2 of these and neither one has that thing to push in the staples
The tool is garbage. as others have said the staples don't fit. Do not buy. It will most likely not work like the video. Gave the vid a thumbs up though since it's not his fault it's a shit product
It's not working for me...can't get the staples in there even with dropping the magazine on the bottom. They won't feed in from the butt end or top side of the magazine.
The TR45 lists 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8". I have ALLLLLLL OF THESE. And not one of them fits. It's almost magical how none of them fit. Especially 5/16, considering it's tight in the middle. Fuck this stapler. Fuck it. Fuck it.
Check the model....are your staples T50s or TR45s.....I went the same road you did......I have the TR45 staple gun....but got T50 staples, exact same sizes needed and stated on the gun itself...but different model apparently

I know right! This thing advertises that it uses a 3/8” 9.5 mm size staple but the Swingline staple this size does NOT fit at all.

Try the Arrow JT21. It's the same staple. There was another one available at my local Aubuchon but it was also too wide.
