Ok, so I had the same problem, my stapler didn’t work and I did all this research, but nobody had the solution. Eventually I worked it out for myself and I will share it with you. After years of good use my stapler started jamming. I tried oil, and filing the hammer. It wasn’t that! The constant percussion of the stapler had fractionally compressed the joints where the staples come out. I looked carefully at the exit of the staples and realized that the staples were not flowing freely from the exit. With a screwdriver I LIGHTLY reopened the passage so that the staples could be pushed more easily by the spring and hey presto 🎉 the staples aren’t blocked and work perfectly as new!!! Years of frustration ended. I hope this helps you. DK👍
Hey bro nice video. I fluffed around with one too not working and the logistics to take it back cost more than the product What I noticed on mine was the spring thing that pushes staple in had a notch at the other end that needed to be twisted so it was pushing on the staples in the right way rather than angled. Could do with pliers
The firing plate doesn’t retract enough to let the next staple load. Take the loading carriage out, turn it upside down and squeeze the handle a couple of times. You can see the firing plate moving. Now file it down a bit, half a millimetre is plenty. Now it won’t miss any more.
Me too so loaded right now. Still doesnt shoot the staples. Problem is not made in USA. And of course no instructions at all. hubby can try. Will return for refund if he cant get to work. Stanley used to be a quality product.
For what it may be worth after all this time. Your staples are too narrow, that it why you had to force it closed. So they cannot slide freely to feed properly. The sizes you showed refer to the depth of the legs, not the distance between the legs. As shown on the box it takes Stanley 1-TRA200 but the box of staples says 1-TRA705T.
I had same problem today and I found the solution for it by myself. the staples I was using are for it okay but they were bad quality, very thick as the one he’s using in the video. I found a different kind I bought before and they look thinner even tho they’re same size.
Obviously you need the right sized staples, but for those of us who have the right staples, there can still be a log jam. Keep your apertures free flowing and all will be well.😅
Are you serious right now? You have A type staples stapler, but trying to use G type staples in it. LOL. It's crearly visible that stapler chamber is wider than staples.
The steamples are too tight they dont have enough place to mouve ( slise) it should move inside very easy so that you can shoot the steamples out . Wich Bauhaus is that ? In US ore Germany ? Or sommwere ellse ?... good luck budy 🤞🤞🤞
You probably bought it from Walmart, which buys its tools and pretty much everything else from China. Stanley making its stuff in Mexico and China now, so don't expect good workmanship from their tools anymore as they hire very, very cheap labor which results in very, very poor workmanship. If it don't say, made in the USA or Germany, throw it in the garbage.

Bought 1 from Walmart last week it worked 3 whole staples before it would not work at all
I am about to cry . I am redoing an old ironing table halfway my stapler stops working 😢😢😡.
Did you ever find out why? I’m having the same problem.
I need to know
Mine is not working
Incase you're still trying to get your stapler to work you put the staples in the part that pulls out of the back of the stapler
@@ronaldblamble8206 thanks

Hey bro you put the stables in first at the the top when you slide it down
Mine was made in Taiwan 2006. Doesn't say to load staples from the bottom.
Nice expertiese
Omg i can’t believe im here lol ! 😂 i hope this work for me.
You have to put staples on the sliding metal that you inserted
Literally says to not load from there on that piece of metal
Yep brain teaser i tasked Yt to solve. TY!

Hello, you are using the wrong staple. This tool is an LD stapler and you are using an HD staple.
You have it in upside doown
Put the staples in from the bottom, as you showed, and the staples started coming out! Thanks!
It simply doesn’t work.
