I was pulling out the loader and putting the staples in that. NOPE. You put them in through the bottom, and push the loader back in and latch. I think I did the same idiotic thing the last time I used the staple-gun, probably over 5 years ago. I think I will write a reminder on some duct tape and stick it on the damned thing for the next time.

Thanks for the inspiration. TIP: if you repeatedly get jammed staples, then check out the spring/pusher mechanism that keeps the staples engaged to the end of the loading dock. Do this while the mechanism is uninstalled from the stapler. If you find it getting jammed along the race, then you will always get jammed staples. Take a mill file and file the sides of the pushing mechanism (the upside "U" shaped thing). Dont go crazy, but file away on the faces for 20-60seconds. Test it in the race again. If its still getting stuck and not sliding freely, file again. Once it slides in easily under the power of the spring, use some spray grease (I used lithium) on the race to help the spring move. It will glide. No more jammed staples. I should make a video of this and earn money from it.

Yep, I've got one of those, but thats not the reason I'm here. My problem is with a ''Plier'' type stapler. '' STAPLE 31'', that compresses a staple through two lots of material BETWEEN 'JAWS' and folds the ends over. ALL JAMMED UP, and of course, not accessable. I just can't see how it disassembles. ANYONE ?

It wasn't a full staple it was only one prong that wasnt coming out any other way. It stuck to my magnetic screwdriver. lol

  • @djwashb

I have a Trojan stapler and with it you don’t have to unbolt the mechanism. It pivots on the bolt you unscrewed and you just need to slide the mechanism back using two finger holds on the mechanism. With yours you may be able to just push the mechanism back with a screwdriver between the nubs to release the mechanism and pivot it out to clear. Simply then just click it back into place.

Kevin, get a powershot, the handle presses in at the opposite end, much easier to press all day. They run about $20 now but look at yard sales. I just use a little 3 in1 household oil on the spring, (sewing machine oil works really well) and it rarely jambs. Good video btw!

Arrow has the audacity to make the Arrow t50 and arrow has the audacity of actually wanting money for this stupid piece of metal arrow calls a "staple gun".. it's so obvious that arrow spent no r&d and so obvious that arrow did the least amount of testing after they manufactured this stupid waste of metal.
