Perfectly presented as always 👍 Straight to the point and the right amount on information
My favorite budget s35 zooms are the fuji mk. It's a shame they're only available in x, e and rf mounts
Would love to see a video just like this about the 50-135 T2.9
Can you do a Meike FF 24, 35, 50, 85 comparison to the Canon CN-E set?
Good to hear! The Tokina cinema zoom set was going to be my go to, but now I'm more considering a cine prime kit...
How does it compare to the Sigma in terms of wide open sharpness? Thanks
Favorite S35 cam: Pocket 6k pro
I have been waiting for someone to compare all of the lenses. I am thinking of getting the ursa12k but it shows every imperfection (I heard) so lens choice is critical. Do you recommend Tokina 11-20 + Laowa OOOM 25-100 OR Tokina 25-75 instead? Is there any advantage to loosing 25mm focal length with the Tokina 25-75?
The ooom gets well soft after 75mm wide open to a point where you have to go down to f5.6
Don't forget about the Fujinon MK zooms!
Is it just me, or does the chart wobble all over the place as you roll through the focus on the breathing and CA tests?
was that just a rough handle on the follow focus or a lens in desperate need of calibration?
Cool
To shoot this interview , which cameras and lenses used
Because it looks massive elegant image quality...
Canon C200 with Sigma 50mm f/1.4. Jake
To my question cvp doesn't want to give answers...?
you didn't include the links in the description like u said u would broski
What links are you after?
I think Sigma 18-35 always best
but it's like having 2.5 primes - this one is like having 4 imo - the sigma you can't slap on a s35 and be good for run and gun - this would totally do it. And I agree with others the MK's are awesome, but they are in E mount and my next lens I want to invest in PL mount. All that to say is this is likely what I'll be buying along with a Z Cam s6 and a mieke prime for gimbal
But the sigma 18-35 has really bad focus breathing and is not parfocal
@@TwatMcGee you wanna parfocal you can buy 18-35 cinema lens
£4k??? Next
Can you please remember to add some footage of people, or a dog, or really anything that is not a chart? It is abundantly clear at this point that you love charts, but man is this not helpful when you don't show *any* real footage.
Understanding Test-Charts is actually the key to become a better cam-op or DoP. If you know what happens in the charts you are able to translate that into "real" world usage. "Real" footage, as you call it, will definitely obfuscate the strengths and shortcomings of a lens drastically. I'm glad CVP insists on mainly using test-charts in their videos since these are the only types of footage that really tell you how a lens performs. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
I didn't say don't include charts. If you like them, great. I was desperately looking for ""real"" footage from this lens at that time, and CVP usually gets access to products earlier than the rest of the YT crowd. Hence, not getting anything beyond studio footage from them wasn't helpful to me at all. And this isn't the first time this happened, which is why I dared to ask for a change.
Look at the Premista 28-100mm video, where Jake managed to include footage of people for once. (I suspect that is because Fujinon provided a setting and a model.) Does it detract from your appreciation for charts to include something other people might want to see, Atilla?
I agree that it’d be nice to see test shots, but there are so many variables involved that it's super subjective. those types of shots should be in separate videos IMO. when shopping around and comparing lenses this format is much more efficient compared to videos that mix in test shots and what not.
there's plenty of test shot / demo videos and direct comparison videos out there so I appreciate knowing I can come here for more objective information and get it quickly.
ha its garbage
