- After doing my initial review of the Divided by 13 BTR23, I wanted to know how it compares to my two benchmarks: the Dr. Z Z-Wreck Jr and Marshall 1987X. This video was shot before the Dr. Z Nova video. I no longer own the BTR23, still own the Nova, although the BTR23 is great as well, just not as much my thing.

I wanna know which one felt better to the touch ?
@@benallmark9671 well, that Marshall has been my benchmark, the Dr. Z is my allrounder and the ÷13 was very hi-fi. The latter was cool on its own and to record with, but playing with a band it didn't work for me.
They sound so different compared to the Marshall. I would avoid using the word "british amp" from now on, it's just misleading .
@@myuncle2 that's why it's in quotation marks. They're based on British circuits, but two of them are obviously build in the US. But nothing sounds like a Marshall, not even most amps that are straight forward trying to do that sound.
@@StevenAnthonyGuitar Yes, with a few exceptions, like the Suhr SL67 MkII and the Friedman Plex, both made in USA.
@myuncle2 though I haven't played them, I do agree they have the right sound based on the clips I've heard. Same goes for the Tone King Royalist MKIII.
@@StevenAnthonyGuitar exactly, which has a nice attenuator built in.
@@myuncle2 yep, the Ironmans are great!
