I wanted to ask for clarification, the second round when you do double crochet Vs, are you doing them in the SC or in the Ch 1 spaces? PS. Thank you for making this tutorial!

Hi, in SC, in fact the SC loops are bigger than the chain loops, so it is easier to do it in the SC 😉. You're welcome.
