Note for anyone who wants to play with the width of the gloves: The reason the initial chain's stitches have to be multiples of five is that each chain in the fish net is five stitches long, so it wouldn't be symmetrical if the initial chain were to be, let's say, a multiple of three that didn't match with a multiple of five. Take 33, for example. You COULD use any number for the initial chain if you wanted to, though! You'd just have to make it a multiple for whatever length you wanted to choose for the fish net. Let's say you wanted each chain in the fish net to be three stitches long. You could make the initial chain 30, 33, 36 or 39 stitches long, to give an example. The list goes up.
Just my personal notes, don't mind me. The SIZE 6 OR G hook The black yarn you used for the dnp sweater 35 foundation single crochet In the thumb hole, 12 chs 6 rows above the thumb hole start making the holes with 6 chs instead of 5
Thank you - this has really helped me - we all have different shaped hands and arms! I have used 4mm hook, Caron simply soft (had spare black ball in my stash). 35 stitches also works for me - and the 12 chain thumb hole, however, I haven't needed to expand to 6 chains - but a really useful hint 😀
thank you for this tutorial 💖 at the end I added 2 rows of sc to make it look even better. One glove( by the wrist) took me 80min idk if it's fast or slow haha 😸
The initial chain should be as long as your wrist, kind of. It'll wrap around your fingers and continue towards your arm. You can do whichever works out best for you, just make sure that it's a multiple of 5 and that it feels comfortable around your hand ^^ I made it 35 chains long.
@@rustycottoncandy Oh i see, i already made 3gloves (dont have the motivation the finish the 2nd set) and the best one was my latest since i made it longer and 35 chains long too // Ty for the reply, wich actually helped me out :D
@@qlvnxz I hope you get the motivation you need for the second set soon!! And I'm sure they turned out great ^^ Cool! Wrist-length samesies!! So question is is possible to change the color of the yarn as you’re doing it or no? I don’t know how to crochet but I’m a cosplayer needing to make just one fingerless glove that is black and red.
Yes, I think so! I’m working on a green and pink one right now, I don’t know if there’s another way, but I cut and tied the pink off, and then started with the green
40 chains , skip first row single crochet, should have 39 single crochet. Connect ends with slip stitch through first single crochet, Chain 5 and skip 4 stitches and put single crochet in the fifth. 12 for finger holes.
Thanks! I’m a punk and i’m starting to make my own clothes, this was really usefull!
Same here! I'm making crust pants ❤️
Omg tysm!! As an enjoyer of secenecore/emo who doesn't have hot topic store where I live & loves to crochet this tut helped me out a lot :D!!

There so so cute! Thank you❤
You are so kind
This is by far the best crochet tutorial
Love them!
Very good! But i reccomend saying that the 40 goes around you wrist, and its not the length of it. But good overall
that's why I usually watch every tutorial I use before actually making the project, so I don't get confused
Ya I agree, had to frog it 😭
классные перчатки🤩
AMAZING GIRL, U SLAY
Yall dose it matter if I have a different type of yarn and a thiner one I think (dose it change the appearance of just mess it up?)
What a great idea❤
Thank you! 😊
It’s midnight rn and I’m looking for something to do, this is perfect thanks lol 😋

Did you put six single crochets in each 5 chain space, or did you just put a single crochet in each loop?
should i do 40 chains or 30?? I have pretty short arms

multi colored yarn or switch colors, there are videos on switching colors
what size/weight yarn are you using...? i mostly only have DK yarn so will that be fine?
I think you can use any size as long as your initial chain is in multiples of five
Heyy guys I’m prob very late but it would really helpful to know how much yarn u guys used to make both gloves it would really help! ❤
Hi!! I made 6.5 inch gloves and used less than my 115 yard ball of yarn. I would guess around 85-90 yards for both gloves
❤ TFS
40 chains , skip first row single crochet, should have 39 single crochet.
Connect ends with slip stitch through first single crochet,
Chain 5 and skip 4 stitches and put single crochet in the fifth.
12 for finger holes.

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
40!?
Bro this is fucking speedy
I love you
Ha ha 😘 Thank You so much
why do you keep saying "this horrible black color"? 😭
I laughed everytime she said that lol
Ok but how did they turn from yellow to black 😨
I don't understand if this is a genuine question or sarcasm
