Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already recorded 4 full length studio albums, in addition some EPs and Singles and a bunch of live albums, available on CD and DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They will be in the US for the first time later this year.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“.
A new EP and a live album will be released on august 28.

She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd

Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food

Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop

Awesome reaction! You are the first reactor who has really understood the lyrics to this song, especially about Judgement Day being an ongoing event that never ends. Which is why they end it with an outro that is similar to the intro. If you watch the music video to this song you will see why the you hear the sound of the breaking glass.

I did watch the music video! Someone mentioned to me that "Judgement Day" in this song refers to mental health struggles and that interpretation plus the music video work very well together (with the "dark" version of the band) and have made me appreciate the song even more! The outro callback to the intro completes the song in a beautiful way. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing so I love it! The glass shattering, on a guess, indicates the "tipping points" of the struggle - beginning, "enough is enough", victory, beginning. That's also a neat touch 👌
You're right, this song is about the everlasting personal fight, not just an event (one day). "Judgement Day" is meant more as a concept than a day in time.
Asami (the singer) told us, that LOVEBITES (2.0) had to prove themselves (with the new album of that same name provided for their fans) after almost 2 years hiatus due to Covid-19 and the departure of their founding bassist Miho in August 2021. They found a new bassist after a worldwide casting with 250+ candidates, Fami, who joined in October 2022. The OMV to this song followed around X-mas, the album was released on February 22nd, 2023, first concert on March 11th and 12th, both resulting in a live album each (2CD/DVD/Blu-ray, released on Aug-23 and Dec-20, respectively). There was also a tour in Japan, from which the Sep-24 performance will give us another live album on August 28th, 2024 (this year), two of those tracks have been released on RUclips during the last 3 week. This concert also contained songs from that album. I think, they have proven, that it was worth it to go through these times and deliver us several albums and the world tour 2024 (next: Korea, Japan, USA, just ended: UK and EU). But the struggle never ends... 😁Thus there will be a new EP with 5 brand new songs released together with that live album from above... The OMV of the first song "Unchained" of this EP was just released on RUclips 4 days ago!

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information and recommendations.
Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, and Haruna, Drums, who are former members of Destrose, a band that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects.
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'
Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman.
Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. She is the bassist in this video.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long.
All members of the band can play piano/keyboards.
They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023.

I have come to the realization recently that living in a big European city is very handy if you're a music lover. Too bad that back when I lived in one such city I wasn't a music lover :(
Well, a new reactor to LOVEBITES, congrat for meet this band.
"Judgement Day" is also the name of their last album AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS OF HIATUS the band had to pass 'cause the COVID pandemic and the lost of their former bassist (MIHO, she quit the band on August 2021). So, after deliberating if disband or continue, the band choose to continue and in April 2022, they made an audition for a new bassist. Meanwhile, they started to record the new album "Judgement Day" and MIYAKO (dark haired guitarrist) made the bass parts. But the album didn't went into production before the new bassist joined the band and recorded the proper bass parts.
This song "Judgement Day" talks about the "dark" times they had to pass through but they fought against to came to the light again and with the new bassist now they will be "judge" by the fans and the audience to see if they still are the band from before, so this album was called "Judgement Day". And they has proved that they has enhanced their musicianship and composition skills. And the new bassist (FAMI) has brought her joy and brightful presence adding to the band. FAMI has her own YT channel with almost 700k followers.

Judgement Day has sort of a double meaning, it's also the name of the album. The band coming out of a long hiatus released the Judgement Day album and in a way was being "judged" by the fans! After the long break they felt the need to show the fans they were back in full force!!🤘🔥

They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.

Recently an American reactor, I assume from the USA, got very bent out of shape over the word 'Foreverness', claiming that there is no such word, even after people had posted the meaning for her in the comments. This is from the online Cambridge English Dictionary, "Foreverness, the quality or state of lasting for all time or never coming to an end ". I also found it in my ancient copy (1964) of the Oxford English Dictionary and in my Thesaurus, so it is a valid ENGLISH word, although maybe not in the USA.
Hm, someone on Genius.com (the lyrics website I use) must have done something weird. If I copy the word from there and do a google search (as shown in the video) only this song's lyrics show up, but if I actually type the word and search that way I get plenty of results which define the word.
Either way, even if it wasn't a word it's still pretty clear what the meaning is. I suppose that other reactor must've assumed it's not a word without looking it up (or did a poor job at looking it up like me) and it triggered a pet peeve or something? We all get worked up by different, sometimes seemingly insignificant things 😄

Yeah, someone else mentioned the word is in dictionaries so I did further Google searches and figured out that the reason I didn't get any results is because they have typed the word in some weird way on the lyrics website (maybe used an "e" from a different alphabet or some such?). If I copy the word from the lyrics website I get only the lyrics as a result, but if I type it manually I get a ton of results which define the word 👌

I think your analysis of this song (lyrics) is correct. "Judgment Day" is a term based on a very Christian (and Jewish and Islamic) concept, but LOVEBITES is a band with no religious background. There are several other songs by them that are related to Christian themes. However, they are religious motifs and are not claims to praise God. Religiously, "Judgment Day" is a one-time event in the world related to the end of the world, but in this song, LOVEBITES is describing the choice to face the mental conflicts that we experience many times in our lives. Interesting analysis. And, I think you have found several truths. But ... there is a background story.
Once they were a rather successful band, but things got a bit complicated in the band and then one of the founders, the bassist left.
And then came covid. And they were very confused whether it was worth while to continue, but after a while they decided to try again.
So, they announced for a new bassist and there were many that wanted to play in Lovebites. It went on and it seemed to be hard to find any.
Remember Lovebites are highly skilled musicians and the fast music they play is not easy. A bassist that just lay down a basic rhythm is not enough.
Then, a girl named Fami, that was doing bass vlogging. A prodigy that started to find no meaning with her channel decided to tryout for Lovebites.
She was no metal bassist, but a prodigy that was totally magical on bass. So, she had to relearn stuff.
And, as far as I understand, it was love at first sight. Lovebites ladies were 30+ and Fami was 20 (or was it 19?).
Fami was young and energetic and laughed a lot and all the older ladies was brought back to life again.
And .... the song Judgement day is the big test .... will this work ... that is the judgement. Can Lovebites come back?

So, she had serious plans to do something else but music. Then she saw the offer from Lovebites and said "Why not?". And now she has fun playing bass in a band, and not any band, in Lovebites! And she had to learn a new style, she had never played metal before. Which also might be fun.

Good that you analyse like this way ... but first ... listen to a song without pausing, or u lose the flow
There are pros and cons of doing it either way, but I did switch to doing uninterrupted reaction followed by bit-by-bit analysis in the last couple of videos I made 👍
