I didn't expect any real competition, just some friendly back-and-forth for the music video. My impression based on social media posts was that the two bands hold nothing but love and respect for each other, as you say! And it shows in this song, it's a true collaboration between the two bands 👍Good on you that you got to see them perform together live! I don't reckon I'll get that chance in the foreseeable future, not in Europe.
This was such a damned good collaboration. Gold standard for me :) It's absolutely an empowering song - they're not competing at all, other than perhaps as friends push each other with "hey, watch this". Their smiles throughout say everything about how much of a blast they were having making it, and how much they love and respect each other.
Very, very good breakdown and review! 👍👍👍 You're the first to notice that about Akane and Pau playing simultaneously! Well spotted! 👍😎😊 Don't know if you picked it up, but when Ale (?) plays the bass, and then MISA plays her part, Ale follows to close with a single note. Then MISA finised with the same outro used on one of The Warning's tracks
Thanks, I'm happy to hear you liked the video ❤ Akane and Pau tapped into the Drummer Brain 😄They are both professionals, so it makes sense they kept time while playing the same thing and it looked like a mirror, but I, as a non-drummer, am still super impressed at the sight of it! I did notice Ale giving MISA a 'pat on the back' - "Good slapping, here's a note" 😄The bass also joined in for some of Dany's guitar part. Four loud and clear notes that enhanced that bit to great effect 👌I love it when the bass stands out. Are you referring to Survive by The Warning? If so, it's the same vibe but I wouldn't call it the same outro (different notes, rhythm and length). I would not be surprised if it's the inspiration behind choosing to end the song that way though 👍
👍Amazing collaboration merging two different sounds. The song was composed by Kanami and the lyrics by Miku, and in Band-Maid fashion the song is then past among all members including The Warning, and then everyone puts their spin to it for the final product.
That's a solid system they have 👌It turned out great too, this song knocked my socks off! Do BAND-MAID usually have Kanami compose and Miku write the lyrics for most/all of their songs?
@@bsdsuPASTA Yes, Kanami writes and composes all their music. All the members will offer ideas and thoughts to keep her inspired. Miku is the main lyricist, but the last few years Saiki has been much more involved in the process, sometimes doing all the lyrics - especially love songs.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song Also caught the premiere of this video too. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
Yes, please, I would love to see an official live video from the Tokyo performance! Good on you that you got to see it live, especially without knowing what to expect 🤘I can only imagine what that must've been like!
So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to come to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.
I watched that PRS interview! I totally thought the whole "come to Mexico, we'll sing in Spanish" bit was a wishful thinking / joke kind of thing, but now that you've told me that's pretty much how SHOW THEM came to be... I'll be waiting :)
@@charleswharmbyiii8401 Hearing this song for the first time live, out of the blue, must've been quite the experience! I would've cried if I was there, too.

Yeah, they seemed to be having a blast performing this together! I wish there was professional footage of the live version (or any footage, really), that must've been amazing to witness. I was going to check out BAND-MAID even before this song, but now I'm thinking I should get to it sooner rather than later.
Interesting that you said you like the way The Warning play with dynamics by dropping instruments as that's exactly what Band Maid do all the time and because they have 4 instruments (plus 2 vocals) there are more variables they can play with. Second verse always different to the First verse is standard for BM and the chorus can vary too
Thoroughly enjoyed the development of your reaction. Your initial expectations ran into the Kanami evil genius arrangement, switching up the second verse is a BM thing, and TWs touches to improve the English lyrics was awesome. A true collaboration. I get as much enjoyment out of the fact that it is _these_ two bands doing the performance as from the song itself.

In real life, all of BAND-MAIDS parents were very supportive, but they had to take the initiative to start their own band, while The Warnings parents started them as a band.
Technically speaking Miku took the initiative to start Band-Maid while everyone else was in the right place at the right time to join in. The formation of Band-Maid is the closest thing to a miracle story I'm aware of in real life. The Warning's parents didn't really start them as a band, they got them piano lessons and later Rock Band (the game). The rest wasn't really their idea.
This commentary was made by: Christian Bakke, but I do agree with him: IF... If you are tired of anemic pretend prog rock. If you are fed up with watered down radio friendly fake rock. If you no longer can stand pompous bast%@! rock stars. If you thought rock was dead....try BAND-MAID. Don't let the cute costumes fool you. They are not here just to be cute, they are here to kick you ass, in the best possible taste. Every song is built around three or more solid and melodic guitar riffs. Some parts may have an intricate chord progression over a quite simple beat, or the other way around. Nothing is overly complicated, everything is beautifully played, arranged and sung. More ifs: If you belong to the 'Deep Purple' generation, you may also belong to the BAND-MAID generation. If you adore 'RUSH', you may come to adore BAND-MAID. If you fell for the dynamics of 'The Pixies', you may fall for BAND-MAID. If you like the sound of 'The Smashing Pumkins', you may come to like BAND-MAID. If you like Japanese rock (let's say 'Maximum The Hormone' - or even if you are completely new to Japanese rock) getting to know BAND-MAID can be the start of a long and rewarding (and I have to say quite expensive) relationship. If you thought interviews with rock bands are all boring, try a BAND-MAID interview. If you want everything that is good, fun, cool and interesting about rock'n'roll in one neat package...try BAND-MAID. If the translations are anything to go by, even the lyrics are quite good (a bit weird perhaps, but they are japanese after all). If you have seen (and maybe even liked) the movie 'Lost in Translation', you understand what i mean. I wished they were my neighbours.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the reactions and I appreciate the compliments! 👍🙂 I speak Bulgarian and English. I sometimes mix up the grammars of the two mid-sentence and what comes out can't really be called speaking a language, but I get by 😄Bulgarian and Macedonian are very similar to each other, so while I could probably hold a conversation with someone speaking Macedonian by speaking Bulgarian myself, I don't really speak the language. My English vocabulary is where it's at mostly because I used to read books quite a bit and I used to do creative writing as a hobby. Alas, neither of those helps with actually speaking the language, but a few years of living in Ireland and a lot of years of voice chat over video games with internet strangers (later friends) got me to where I'm at. Making videos on RUclips also helps, that's actually one of the reasons I started. I need more practice! Cheers from rural Bulgaria, Denver! 🥂

Bulgaria is a pretty old country so there's a lot to learn about it, depending on how deep you want to dig into it. It's also a great tourist destination (which is one of few things Bulgaria is great at) - there's mountain resorts, plenty of great beaches, a lot of history and culture to explore, and it's really cheap (so long as you don't get scammed)! Although speaking of mountain resorts, Denver's elevation is higher than some of those resorts, so you might not find them very impressive or interesting 😄 Colorado does look beautiful on the images Google showed me. Go check out more bandmaid - I'd suggest the anime theme MVs plus blooming and Unleash in your case seeming your taste as manifest here. Other people will advise other things of course.
The you can find the live versions.
Kanami and miku are genius composer and songwriter - kanami is the producer from the celestial kingdom.
I'm definitely checking out more Band-Maid!
I have added your recommendations to my list, but I'm not sure what the "anime theme MVs" are. Just any video on their channel that has an animated music video, or some specific songs that were featured in an anime, or something else?
Love your reactions as always! 😃👍🏼
Your English is so amazing! I have a degree in communications. I'm assuming you speak Bulgarian and possibly Macedonian? 🤔😊. I am just so impressed by your expanded vocabulary in English. Obviously a very intelligent man. You don't give yourself enough credit and You by no means as you said have a "pea brain". 😂. I know you're joking! 😅. I look forward to more of your reactions and sense of humor! Cheers! 🥂 From Denver Colorado 🌄☀️
Thank you, I'm glad you like the reactions and I appreciate the compliments! 👍🙂
I speak Bulgarian and English.
@@bsdsuPASTA Thanks for taking the time to reply with such detail. I find that all very interesting. Other than English I speak Spanish and some French. I spent a lot of time in Morocco and Egypt therefore speaks some Arabic. Enough to get food and find my way about anyway 😄. I love to learn about other cultures and languages. I don't know a lot about Bulgaria but you have prompted me to learn more how about the country. I love to travel. You never know one day I may be in Bulgaria! 😎. Colorado is a very beautiful state and we have a lot of tourism here. I grew up skiing the many mountains we have. Maybe one day you will take a visit here! I would gladly show you around 😊🌄
@@justinvasquez5280 That's a lot of languages! Do you get regular practice with them?
Learning about new cultures is a lot of fun!
Although speaking of mountain resorts, Denver's elevation is higher than some of those resorts, so you might not find them very impressive or interesting 😄
Colorado does look beautiful on the images Google showed me. I wouldn't mind visiting some day!
Hi! U still didn't react on JUNNA's new band- HAGANE!
Their first MV- Tenka Goken was released month ago and got about 450k views and 18k likes, it was great!
Now they released MV for Hero Time song!
We need your reaction! ))
This is the first time I hear about a third of those words, but I'm feeling adventurous, so, sure, why not? I'll add HAGANE - Tenka Goken to my list 👍
@@bsdsuPASTA my bad :D
I thought everyone knows JUNNA, especially when her cover on Dragon Force- Through fire and flames got over 5 million views and even drummer of Dragon Force reacted to this cover personally and praised it as the best xD
@@funnystuff2552 FUNNY ENOUGH, I checked my RUclips feed just now and there it is, JUNNA's cover of Through fire and flames 😄It wasn't on the first page of recommended, but close enough.
I don't usually use this YT account to watch stuff though and my other account's recommendations are full of different kind of things. Regardless, I'll go educate myself with that cover video now.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! Ale Ale Ale! Not Pop "Melodic" so not like modern POP songs which are simplistic repetitive with fake instruments and Autotuned?pitch corrected voices THIS was NON of that.
See, I knew there's a reason I don't listen to pop 😄"Melodic" would've probably been a better word to use there, yeah.
MISA's solo bit and some of the bass lines and highlights were fantastic in this song ❤
@@bsdsuPASTA EXACTLY the traditional use of the word POP (Popular) would also be fitting but people assume the first (fake) pop when the word is used, POP now is a Genre not a descriptive term.
@@DavidMISAMISAMISACook Yeah, I suppose it is. I usually think of "popular music" when I say pop, but in this day and age that's probably misusing the term.
