I like that they delivered something so functional for such a low price. These days it seems many low cost entries have glaring deficiencies. This seems like a well designed and constructed product that perfect as intended & exceeds expectations. You may not like how it looks or what it’s made of but it’s a surprisingly good pellet pistol that cost $35.00. Not bad in my book.
I think you’re spot on there. They seem to have large enough distribution to tool up and cost-effectively produce quality low cost airguns. The license agreements they have with many firearm manufacturers seems to have worked out really well for them. Ruger, Glock, Walther, Marlin, the list goes on and on.
I agree. I thought the shot to shot performance was great. The pellets I was shooting weren’t exactly premium. I suspect the variance to be pellet related.
Comparing it to the ruger I think the mark point is stronger. I’m more and more liking this one. Even though the ruger does seem more fun and a bit cooler.
You’re a very astute young man. The Ruger’s looks, steel construction and feeling it gives (pride of ownership) are all very high. If you’re looking for a gun to shoot and hit what you’re aimed at, safely with what ever pellets you feed it. And you plan on shooting thousands of pellets and not 199 (durability) I personally believe you’ll be happier with the Markpoint. Part of what Umarex did right with this airgun is something common in many lower cost Crosman airguns. Namely, it shoots whatever you feed it well and often shoots budget pellets most accurately.
I agree I think the mark point would probably be a better gun for me, and I think it’s just a really good starter gun in the first place, as it’s not flashy and it does what it’s supposed to well and with accuracy. I also disagree with people who say the Markpoint is ugly. I really like the design, it seems very rugged and durable.
The more I see of this pistol the more I like it.

@AlsAirguns Umarex has been listening to the customers and doing great things on the budget airgun side of the market, in my opinion.

Very nice consistency in speed, except that one shot mid-hollowpoint. It will definitely shred cans. Thanks for the numbers, Al.

Would anyone know if this would be good for squirrels? If not, what would anyone suggest. Thanks
No, it’s not powerful enough for squirrels. If you have your heart set on a pistol, perhaps consider a Crosman 2249 or 1322.
