After loooooooong thinking and contemplating I opted for Remington 1875 those other two have notoriously bad triggers, nothing wrong with the guns but 1875 is perfect, pellets only I am simple guy but joy loading is priceless soooo good luck felas
I think you made a really cool choice. Please let us know how it goes. 👍🏻
Hay al I was thinking the stock would be the difficult part to figure out and mount. I actually came up with a simple modification to be able to add a stock to the mark point. It was actually quite easy onec I had it apart but I'm having a definitely and ran in to a road block with it Im having a real difficult time trying to figure out how it could be possible to mount a pic rail mount for the use of a optic. There isn't any room available or a way to be able to mount it to any thing at all. This is the first time thinking to my self I wish I could 3 print a pic rail. The only possible thing I can think of is the back sight peace in red removable if that part can be duplicate as part of the pic rail for the front part it would need to have a 2 part mounting clap. 🧐🤔💡💯🫡✌️🥵🤕
Definitely sounds challenging. I wonder if any of Buck-Rail’s mounts for other Airguns could be pressed into service.
@AlsAirguns that would be nice. I still have it apart . There absolutely no room Amy were to be able to mount any thing at all every thing to thin all the internals take up everything . The only way I see a mount ever fitting is if it 3d print or literally epoxy it to the top but then you will no longer be able to get it apart ever again.🤕💯🫡✌️ Definitely a ruff one for mounting any type of sights.💯😅
Wow! I recently got an amazon sourced 2240 and when I opened the box my heart sunk when “MADE IN CHINA” appeared on the side of the gun. I’ve had it for almost a month now and while comparing it to my 3 month old 1322 American made pistol also purchased at Amazon, a few things became clear. The Chinese pistol has a superior surface finish. The labeling is laser etched on the Chinese pistol thus the imprinting is not visible on the inside of the valve tube as is most surely apparent inside of my 1322 pump body which distorts an otherwise finely honed pump bore by using roller engraving. The grips on the Chinese 2240 are like the grips of a toy gun as are the grips on my 1322. I’m tired of listing things here so I will say this. I am now way more fond of my Chinese gun and somewhat disappointed in my American made gun. Beyond that I have kit-bashed the 2240 now and shoot it every day! Not so for that naughty 1322.
Yes, I’ve definitely seen product improvements in some of the Chinese production on items like the 2240. I suspect there are some late production US made gear that was less than spectacular. These might be labeled transition era products and this could be all over the place in my opinion.
Is this adapter can be use with brno rifle's 16mm dovetail to 22 mm
Sound like your guns rail is too wise to work with these.
Sorry I missed this , I had to be in Las Cruces New Mexico
No worries. Would love to have you next time. Hope your travels were great. Take care.

I'll message you soon 💯😉🤔👍🫡
Sent you an email. Talk soon, Al.
RP Pump Valve is a great option over a flat top setup
Where do you get that.
@AlsAirguns Ebay Alchemy Airworks get the power kit
I have that on my jet 2, awesome upgrade!
Sweet, glad to hear it!
Iv seen the 2240 About 6 years ago modified with a multi shot breech and pump action arm it's basically the same concept. I have also seen the 2240 with a lever action style wich is also pertty awesome. Most of my personal builds Crossman have multi shot side lever breeches along with my prod . If they even make the Crossman prospect breech available it will work on several different models as a great stock factory modification . Sweet pump action Al . Converting it to a hpa bottle gun with a pump action would make it a blast to use. 💯🫡😉✌️
Looks like I’m playing catch up here. Those builds sound awesome. I can’t wait to give it a try on the Jet 1. I’m pretty handy with a pump shotgun but that’s the limit of my experience with slide actions.
It’s thinking in more about the pump action Crosman you mentioned. That would be really sweet. 2240, 2250, 2260 lengths potentially HPA/PCP. Of course you’d need a grav-mag of something for ammo.
Very nice, and continued thanks to buck-rail for their awesomeness.
Those guys have been great about supporting us. I’m really stoked about trying it out.
I have that gun and I really do like it
I’m glad to hear it. I really like mine too. Another viewer who enjoys theirs says it’s getting a lot of hate from some people and was asking if I knew why. 🤷🏻♂️ My only guess would be color scheme or not being made of metal but I really don’t know.
My new gun arrived from Crosman. They wanted a receipt and a picture of the pistol. They were very nice about the whole thing. I don't (yet) have the skills to diagnose the problem, so... I ordered a new valve from thE Bay and that fixed the problem.
I suspect they will offer refund or replacement. Yes your new valve should leave the pistol 100% good to go. As far as my pistol (and I suspect yours as well, the problem was diagnosed as a defective component inside the valve commonly referred to as the poppet. This piece is under spring pressure and keeps co2 from exiting the valve until it’s shaft is struck by the hammer causing it to lift up allowing gas to escape through the valves transfer pot and into the barrel where it propels the pellet forward. After an interval of time, referred to as dwell time, the spring inside the valve forces it into its closed position again. At the same time this allows a fresh charge of gas into the valve in preparation for the next shot. I’m glad you’re up & running. Happy and safe shooting.
@@AlsAirguns Thanks. Now that I have two, I can scurry down the modding rabbit hole.
Wow , another big difference. Thanks Al. 👍
Thanks. Much appreciated.
Wow , that’s a big difference 👍
Yes it is. 👍🏻
I will try to be there Al on BF , my state is non licensed conceal or open they way the world should be imo , the s400 was a dream back in the day , but there are cheaper better guns out imo , you have a blessed afternoon Al
Thanks and I appreciate you making the effort. Take care.
BTW, I agree as far as concealed & open carry. My concern is in areas with more draconian legislation, they currently perceive airguns as generally BB guns and pellet rifles like the Daisy 880 or Crosman 362. Show them a small airgun that looks like a dreaded tactical pistol or small like a Saturday night special, or sawed off shotgun Umarex and that double barrel pcp cartridge gun that utilizes burst discs and touts it’s self as a concealable shot gun pistol perfect for self defense. My fear is the possible creation of badly conceived statues being imposed on air guns similar to what’s been seen in Canada and the UK as examples.
@@AlsAirguns Imagine having to live in New Jersey , as I have dealt with this actual scenario, anything will be considered a weapon if used as such, even a feather could be construed as a tool of torture, the courts are crazy. I tend to be a rebel rouser Al and know exactly what you mean but if you watch a lot of those buy back videos of the cops buying guns back you always see a Daisy880 and a China redwood breakbarrel in the barrel of so called buybacks , The moment we stopped enforcing the importance of what actual words mean is when we lost the war on keeping the actual 2@ the way it was intended but we might have a chance to get back that right again. But we gotta fight fight fight for that right so it will never be infringed on again. FULL AUTOS FOR ALL 😂 be positive Al things might change.
You’re right. I shall keep the faith.
I didn’t even know such airguns existed ❤
Interesting results, thanks Al for another fine review 👍
Thanks 😊 Much appreciated
That’s really cool Al , thanks 👍
No problem 👍
Not bad at all, turned out better than thought it would.
Like I was saying I think these have so decent engineering behind them. Plus they are really slippery. I think the low friction material probably helps as well. Loaded in something like the QB78 they might be up to very small pests too.
@@AlsAirguns did you get any chronos of the qb with them?
I did not but the next time I have the chronograph set up I’ll test. I really expect 100fps increase. But I’ll confirm.
Would be interested to see the accuracy results when you do that test. For this test, is the destroyers the lightest 177 lead pellet you have? I know rws has a 6.9gr pellet and im curious if the 20% claim still holds up with closer weight, although I suspect so. Also, rws hypermax claims 30% increase compared to standard lead pellet and cost about 5 cents/round verses 9 cents/round of the Crosman. Makes me curious how they actually compare. But now im just late night rambling on your video. 🤔 ~Papa T
I really wish I had both the Hypermax and the Meisterkugeln wadcutters (Hobby I think?) The 7gr ones. I’ve sort of resupplied a bit on .22 ca. recently but have shot up most of my .177 on hand inventory. I’ve got a list of things I need from Pyramid Air so I’ll put these on the list as well. Thanks for the suggestion. 👍🏻
So theyre perfect for icepicking pests
I suspect that they would be. I’ll do some accuracy testing and publish the results. I’d had some of these a long time back and remember them shooting well. Lately I’ve only seen this design in heavier weights which is why I grabbed these when I saw them.
My recent 2240xl says 'made in china' right on the rear of the tube...
I had heard that would be the case but yours is the first confirmation. Please let us know how it works for you. Thanks.
A real machine there, love mine!👍
Me Too. Thanks for letting me know.
Apparently people don’t like this gun,I don’t know what is the beef,if you don’t like it OK choose something else and yes I HATE that heavy 😢trigger but I like the gun .Do you think I use expensive pellets 😂😂😂 just Daisy flat nose😂 I am not practicing for Olympics then I used Crosman pointed,,,,holy what a difference,if my hand was ok bullseye rabbit is gone…$40 dollars Chinese rifle, what is wrong with it? Absolutely nothing except you might drift front post and clean barrel it’s really dirty but after clean up is super accurate, rabbit no problem ….Anyway I wish you the best stay safe ❤
You’re correct in your observations. I could only speculate as to why some people bear it ill will. I think it gets compared frequently to the Ruger MK IV pellet pistol. And I think Americans have a soft spot for Rugers firearm version and because of the very close looks transfer those feeling to the pellet pistol version. However based solely on performance the Markpoint is a superior pellet pistol. I think some people who again have not tried it think it can’t be very good for its $36 price point. I actually had a viewer correct me in the comments at the end of my series and after my referring people in the comments to videos os a complete disassembly and trigger modifications. This person (I suspect an adolescent sitting high upon their thinking stool) informs me that obviously we are incorrect because in their opinion, the pistol is too cheap to be a gas spring. It’s funny the preconceptions and prejudice that some folks bring to simple issues. Certainly there are portions of ant topic that can be debated but there are also other portions that can be confirmed by direct examination and measurement. It’s really important to understand the difference if one wants to be taken seriously. When I worked at a major University lab, my favorite response was (and remains.) I don’t know, let’s find out.
More expensive than 22 LR rounds 🤭
Yes, they’re not as cheap as regular ones.
@ I like the Ruger u got that thing looks sweet
The Mark IV Pistol is the one you like? That airgun has been extremely popular this year and sells for around $50.
Ive shot these out of a Crosman American Classic, aswell as the same Mark IV you have and they perform pretty damn good. Ive also shot em out of a Crosman DPMS Classic A4 Nitro but that rifle didnt like em in my case. I think they are too light for this. But for the pistols they are damn fun :) Also pretty cool to shoot em into something "jelly" ish and then see the projectile disengaging from the orange casing.
Thanks for the information. I always suspected that the two pieces would separate in many targets. Thanks again for sharing your experience. 👍🏻
@AlsAirguns i have that gun and I love it.i camo mine
Awesome! Very good to know. Much appreciated.
Great Review Al, I just Subscribed to your Channel!
Awesome, thank you! 🤗
Thank you, Sir! Very interesting! I would be very interested to see how these perform in terms of accuracy versus something like a Crosman lead hollow point. Thank you again! I very much enjoy learning more and more about air guns and ammo for them, and I very much enjoy your style of presentation and the data you collect and share.
Thanks for your kind words. Also, I have to agree, you are correct, I really should do an accuracy review. And I will. Probably getting it out soon. I do hope you’re subscribed with notifications on so you don’t miss it. Good luck on your airgun journey & thanks for viewing and commenting.
Speed not always a good thing pellet for instance aren't design to go over the mid 900fps after that they will start to corck screw in the air and pattern poorly slugs or a heavy pellet should be use if traveling that fast to lower the fps. Lot of airgun ammo looses stability when they brake the sound barrier. Take the gamo pba golds they tend to perform poorly mainly to the speed there traveling the sound cool when shooting but group poorly. There for really low power airgun a lot of the non lead ammo should perform better or best in low powerd airgun. A lot of bake barrel won't perform good with none lead because of the speed . 💯🫡😉
I totally understand what you’re saying? Also I couldn’t agree more about the average high velocity pellet l I’m glad you mentioned Gamo as they are a great example in both guns and ammo. For this that don’t understand what Joseph is alluding to, let me explain. The desk agh of what we think of as a typical or traditional pellet is much like a bad mitten shuttlecock 🏸. It is designed to be self stabilizing at low speeds without ant need for rotational stability, like a spiraling football 🏈 or that provided by a barrels rifling. Up until very recently airguns did not fire at high or more specifically transonic (above the speed of sound) speeds. The traditional diabolo pellet becomes unstable at those speeds and wastes tons of energy. Think of hitting the badminton birdie with all of your might. You can only make it go so fast (not very) and it swerves unpredictably off course when you do. So the faster we drive such a projectile the less efficient and accurate it becomes. This was very true of some of the first Gamo high velocity pellets. The saying was, Accuracy? Sure, you can hit anything you can get to stand inside of your barrel. This design is different and I should probably test them for accuracy.
So you got everything fixed on it?
Yes, I sure did.
I've started collecting air soft pistol s and co2 pistol s and air spring pistol s
That’s awesome. 👏 You’re welcome to join us to chat or ask questions about airguns Friday the 29th at 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. Hope to see you there. 👍🏻
Hi all I just want you to know that iv recommend other airgun channels utube members to your channel. To read the comments look for airgun information use. Hope it helps you. Have a great one till the next one 💯✌️👌👍🫡
Thanks man, you’re awesome. 👏
The problem with the 1077 and why it may have had accuracy problems is because of the barrel system . There not a solid barrel and it's a thin liner barrel on the inside a shroud wich is fine but in the 1077 they didn't support the liner in the inside of the shroud so if the barrel got bumped at the front of it the point of impact would change. I put a oring on the liner on several spots on the liner that snuggly fit in the shroud to support the barrel liner and epoxy the tip/sight to center it. It shot extremely well groups at 20 yard/ back yard . The trigger need some work as well but it can be modified to work some what OK . The thing that let me down is the seals. Even though I build hpa customs I don't care for working on co2 built factory airguns there's tons of screws lots of times and quite difficult to change 1or 2 seals. The time it takes to repair I could literally build 2 hpa airguns. I personally don't care to work on them. If I don't have to. Lol there the only style airguns be sides brake barrels. In the complete built form on Amazon because of warranty. Everything else I build completely from parts it's a lot more affordable when building custom more so because you don't use most of the factory parts but knowing what parts interchange between them helps and saves quite a bit when building customs or hpa conversions. I like umarex and jts they both for the most parts use Crossman design airguns but tend to improve some of the small issues if any. In my opinion jts does a better job and improvements probably because there a small company. 💯👌👍✌️🫡💯
Very informative, great information. Have you had any experience with the Tactical version introduced a while back? If so did they address any of those issues?
@AlsAirguns I have not unfortunately. By the looks of it. I'd say it's the same way it's a thin barrel line with shroud when new it should be decently accurate but if the tip/front sight gets bump around you will get impact shifts. Its not just the 1077 either almost all the pellet guns with thin barrel liner and plastic front sight on a shroud are made the same way the liner only being centered by the plastic front sight only by the sight. At least the ones iv take apart are. If the factory epoxy filled the liner in the shroud or at least put orings in several spots to keep it centered as well as the front sight they would get better accuracy. When fx first put the barrel out they had the same issue. This is why there quite a few videos on centering fx liners. I actually was the one that messaged Ernest the R and D guy at fx on his utube page telling him if they were to ejection fill the barrel liner centered in the shroud it would eliminate the impact shift problems. Kinda Similar to a brake barrel. Of course he didn't even give me credit and turn around and epoxy fills the line in the shroud. Wich is basically the same concept. The carbon fiber line and oring system works but it's difficult to set back up to shoot constantly the same ones disassemble and reassembled. The 1077 I had was the 88g co2 package it came with adapter for the 88g tanks and a Crossman sleave for the co2 tank and a scope. They were only offered for a limited time. The one I would mind having is the wild fire 1077 it was also only offered for a limited time it's a hpa 1077 with a hpa fill tube. There pertty rare now as far as I no.💯👍✌️🫡
Same problem with mine that arrived Nov 6th from Amazon. Crosman didn't send me back to Amazon. They are sending me a new pistol.
That’s awesome. Fabulous!
Nice groups, were those off-hand or rested at 7 yards?
Great series! Enjoyed parts 1, 2, and 3. My "dilemma" concerns .177 versus .22! I would be using it for plinking in a back yard range out to 35 yards. I am wondering if you or your viewers have any thoughts re .177 v. .22. Thank again!
Hey thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed the videos. With regards to caliber, the .177 is much flatter shooting making accurate range estimation less critical. It’s also cheaper to shoot and tends to be more widely available in greater variety at local stores. Twenty two caliber is a bit more expensive and often pellet choices in local store can be poor. That being said, .22 is vastly superior in terms of knock down power on small game. The old say was .177 for feathers and .22 for fur. So if rabbits, squirrels, opossum and such may be targets .22 gets my nod. The truth is I’ve heard so many great things from folks that own the twenty two and love it, and pellet costs are minimal so I think you’ll be happy with either. Good luck & happy shooting.
@AlsAirguns Al: Thank you very much for the very thorough answer. I have heard/read/experienced the same truisms re: .177 vs. .22. Because of the low velocity and fpe with the QB78d in .22, I think, for me, the .177 with a BuckRail slip on moderator will be a very nice backyard paper puncher, especially as I hear it does very well with wadcutters. I understand that MANY owners of this platform are very happy with the performance in .22, but I own a number of higher velocity and fpe break barrels and PCPs in .177, .22, .25, and .30 for hunting. Thanks again for your, IMO, excellent channel and advice. Btw, Amazon is currently offering the QB78s tactical version for sub $90. Not nearly, IMO, the classic beauty of the QB78d, but the same great platform with a reputation for great accuracy.
Sounds like you’re making a good choice with the .177. Cheaper pellets and flat trajectory will really pay off for target shooting. Also, thanks for the heads up on Amazon. 👍🏻
The clip is really similar to the 1077 same function . A hpa 22cal version airgun would be more currect to replicate a 10/22 just my thoughts and opinion there is a 17hmr and 22 magnum 10/22 wich would be awesome to also have but there quite a pertty penny. Last time I seen one it was selling for $1000 there rare to see 💯👍✌️🫡👌
Totally agree about hpa. Also agree about appropriateness of .22 cal. I suspect that they didn’t want to limit market share aside from believe.22 airgun are a no no in some jurisdictions. Crazy huh? And .177 caliber still tends to be more available on local shelves. I had shot Crosman’# 1077 years ago but I didn’t remember it being this accurate. But the one I shot was pretty well worn.
That’s really cool Al , I wonder how she’d do at 25 yards.
I’ve been wanting to take it to the outdoor range but the weather has been too rainy, cold and windy to go. In my experience, if it’s shooting that tight at close range, long distance accuracy will at that point only be limited by the ammunition (pellet) and its velocity. So I expect good things.
Question. Will a pellet fit inside of the shell of the air shot gun making more of a slug round
They include a chamber adapter to fire pellets. The shell won’t hold a pellet properly.
@AlsAirguns So do me a favor see if one of the pellets will fit inside the shell.Because what i'm trying to do is put my shot first and then put one Of the pellets above Almost like a slug round
@AlsAirguns So obviously I just didn't know if the pellet will fit down inside there. But it has to be the 22 caliber problem. I know the 1.77. Will fit in there with the Birdshot underneath but will .22 pellets
Well if you know.177 will work your good there as .22 will not. The thing you’re going to want to be aware of is keeping total projectile load in the area of 17 grains and your wadding needs to present some resistance to replicate the break away plastic from wad and rear shot cup of the factory shell. I also find it’s important to give some space before encountering the rear wad, again replicating the space provided by the inverted plastic cup that serves as rear wad in the factory shell.
✝️🇺🇸🙏 Thank you, Veterans. Congrats, Joseph!
Thank you much appreciated 💯🫡
I first like to say thanks to all the veterans out there .thanks to al for the giveaway and everyone in the comments. Much appreciated. 💯😉👍✌️ thank again ❤
I was rooting for you brother
Hi al jts just came out with a hpa pump that checks all the bell and whistle for a small hpa pump it's also portable. I'm not sure what the price is but I'd say from what I seen. It's a high quality personal hpa. With built in lubrication system for maintenance and built in cooling with auto shut off. It's the first one I've seen with all the futures as a big shop hpa but in a really small package . The 12 power supply also built in . Usually there extremel. Though I'd let you know. ✌️🫡👍💯 al also like to say thank to backyard dispatcher for rooting for me💯😉✌️🥰
Sweet, I’ve really gotten behind on reading and emails. But this pump is definitely something I need to learn about. Congrats again.
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉 You are a WINNER . I’ll work to get it packed up and out right away.
@AlsAirguns that and tanks/bottle any tanks will work even co2 paint ball bottle for hpa they have a fill rating of 3000psi there also inexpensive your going to want a 13ci and 48ci bottle id say get 48ci In co2 paint ball bottle because there also unregulated this will be good for a fill bottle. To fill the small bottles or your airgun. The 13ci is what's most common on most bottle style airguns. Doesn't matter what bottle the tank/bottle thread 18.1mm or 5/8 depending brand it's important to no what it is because your going to need to get a regulater i highly suggest getting a ninja flex regulater there a little pricey and had to find but well wearth it this will be for the 13ci bottle it's a externally adjustable regulater with up to 1000psi adjustablity range you can go from 1000 to 2200 psi output depending on your needs this will allow you to use it on several different airguns and allow you to test different amounts of pressure depending on ammo once you find the sweet spot of the airgun you can get a regulater with the fix out put psi needed for just for your application. If you choose. On of the best things you can possibly get for testing also universal usage you can use it at the lowest out put for co2 guns by tethering it to a aluminum dummy co2 cylinder as well. These 2 bottles and the ninja flex regulater you'll be set for just about any application you can think of you want need anything else. In less you want a dedicated bottle and set reg to delicate just for a individual airgun. This will save you quite a bit not having to buy multiple regs at different output trying to find the one you need it will also be handy if wanting to regulate if it's nonregulated airgun. 💯👍✌️🫡😉💪
Congrats to the winner.
