    How do you install a new snap ring (retaining ring) against the bearing behind the alignment washers? Thanks

    Hey Matt I just got a 2016 m8000 and I just noticed the secondary has a ding on the dish closest to the panel. I was wondering if it is something I need to worry about or not.

    Nice work on that bolt , I've had the same problem, came out once and broke off another time, do you recommend loctite ? Just replaced the primary with a power block it seems fine it's the secondary that seems to worry me !!? Thx

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  2 года назад

      I run a powerbloc on my 2014 M8 and absolutely love it. As for the bolt, hit it with lots of blue loctite and a new lockwasher

      Oh great, that's exactly what I did this week, it's an XF 800, and been great crossover sled for our groomed trails or back country in Ontario, cheers.

    To adjust belt deflection on the m8's do you just add those shims behind the secondary?

    • @danielkatairoak4015
      @danielkatairoak4015 6 лет назад

      807tv that's for clutch ailment

    • @nate390
      @nate390 6 лет назад +1

      They go in between the plug and the secondary, the shims behind the secondary adjust belt alignment

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  6 лет назад +1

      The shims behind the clutches are for the alignment/offset. The ones that go in front with the bolt are for setting the belt deflection.

    What causes this , ive delt with 3, 2015 m8000's with the exact same problem this year, not fun...

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  4 года назад

      Bolt needs loctite and a good lock washer. It will break if it starts backing out.

    • @joshhenline5476
      @joshhenline5476 4 года назад

      @@syxxes yeah we did that and it broke again 25 miles down the trail granted the sled has 8500+ miles, ended up putting all new jack shaft bearings, shims, everything... See how it holds next trip....
