apparently there was a deleted scene of Bart mooning Flanders and pressing his butt against the glass dome, which then revealed a heart on the glass. that actually would have been funny. wish we could see that
I really like the Simpsons Movie and I’m happy with how it turned out, but it is interesting to see what could’ve been.
The best change was Russ Cargill’s design. I would’ve not been able to take him seriously in that sweater.
I'm glad they changed the Russ Cargill design I can't take him seriously here as he looks like the father or the mono brow baby Maggie hates not nearly as threatening.
I found a few videos someone uploaded on here, inculding Sideshow Bob's appearance or at least one of them.
I believe that the writers were originally coming up with Itchy and Scratchy cartoon from the opening of the movie. But it was changed to Itchy and Scratchy movie of the intro.
The fact that they added and scrapped scenes so far in production is crazy.
Like it’s one thing if South Park scraps it scenes. But here we are talking about an hour and half of movie quality finished animation that took months to produce. Crazy.
I would love to see it one day.
The Springfield athem scene was only discovered in 2021 it played when you put the first disc for me.

I heard that writers was coming up with Kang and Kodos were originally appear during the ends credits with a small role that included Spider-Pig with Kang had a line about Spider-Pig say "At least the pig was cute!"
I wanna see the kang and kodos scene badly. I hope they release it someday.

@charizardoreo yeah the Simpsons movie probably has one of the most interesting productions in animation history they basically made 2 movies for a lot of material but it was scrapped and the movie was in 6 years of development it’s weird they didn’t release the rest of the fully animated and animatic deleted scenes onto like a second or third disc or something or for an anniversary of the movie because season 4-18 expect season 19 for some reason got nearly all there deleted scenes released but not the movie I do hope these deleted scenes get officially released someday but only time will tell and I would like to see this release in 4K and even theatrical re release because this movie looks beautiful even 15 years later
