Just wondering - turbo is designed so it gives away the temperature to the outside through its body, to the air, so it cools down faster. Doesn't it have any impact on the turbo's durability, longevity?
@@garymgzs280 thanks, just upgrading my 2.8 signum slowly, ordered a forge blanket and thinking to get downpipe as well as now only a gutted factory i have.
@@garymgzs280 I thought as much because I've searched before and couldn't find anything until I watched your video. It looks a nice tight fit, how about engine bay and intake temps?
Thanks for the content 👍 just out curiosity are you running a standard turbo or have you modified the cold or hot sides of the turbo, there seems to be nothing to buy off the shelf for these cars.
Hi there. In the video the car has a hybrid of the original td04 fitted. They can be readily made at most turbo shops . My own personal car , the title picture- has a garret installed. I am currently finalising a bolt on kit that people will be able to buy

Would u run ur car without heatshield, only with blanket if downpipe wrapped also. Thanks for answer
Yes it has been done . One my friends got 2 Forge blankets. Ran one over the 3 bolt flange. Then wrapped the downpipe with cloth

@@Wannabevxr depends how much power your looking to make. Gutted pipe can make 400bhp . But 3" better if your at that level and running a hybrid turbo
What watergate actuator are you running on the car?
Check my other videos. Its a forge valve. I show how to fit it
No blankets designed for the td-04 turbos in the 9-3 V6's? The description on the website says not compatible with Saab
Nothing is made for the 2.8 . Hence we get stuff custom made - or find bits from other cars that can be made to fit

Thanks
