great review , there is one extra feature with the front guns . they are intended to be removable and you can use them as guns for the figures for those with a grip hand .,it's why they have that longer peg on the outer side then the stubby block from the original Stridor
Repaint Stridor solid red.
Put water gun effects on him.

I got the vintage Stridor for my birthday last Sunday, (first gift of the day too!) I saw the Origins one at Target a few weeks before that and showed my dad, telling him I wanted it for birthday, instead I got Jitsu that day, my dad said he was nostalgic when I picked him. I don't have a vintage or Origins Fisto yet, so for now my vintage Mechaneck is Stridor's rider.

I had the vintage strider. And since the golden books story Teela's Secret had Teela using him, I always associated him as Teela's mount.

I agree, the blast effects are nearly useless, unless repurposed. I'd rather they give us some other small creatures like the gargoyles in the Battlefield Warriors set.
This is one of my favorite toys in the line. My vintage style MAA/Palace guard is riding mine like a boss.
The moment I saw one of these bros in Target I had to pick him up, despite having him pre-ordered on BBTS (I guess one of my nephews is getting that one lol)
The exact same thing happened to me, lol! Now I just need to figure out which nephew gets the extra Stridor.
My Stridor arrived yesterday and man, he is really awesome. An absolutely cool Beast/Vehicle.

Hey friends! I received mine from Target, last month and I couldn't be happier with my beloved robotic steed Stridor. I remember when the vintage one was released in my childhood years n my mom brought it home as a gift to me for getting good grades at school. She loved it n I loved it. Now I have that Stridor alongside Fisto, it was a 2 pack by the way, & the new improved Origins one. I have both, vintage & new with their respective Fistos. I'm a happy camper. Sadly I sold my Classics Stridor because I was in need of some money at the time. I sold more than 35 action figures from the Classics line after years of collecting them. Well, that was a bit of a heartache but, I have in my Motu collection almost all of the vintage action figures and a decent amount of the Origins ones. I'm not going to collect the whole entire lineup of Origins figs, just those of interest. 🙏🏼👍

Looking at the art on the back of the box I’ll be very surprised if, when they do eventually bring out Night Stalker, the art on the back of its box doesn’t line up with this one.

I have the original Stridor (on display on the top of my bookcase), and I gotta say I'm impressed with how close the two look! I'm also impressed how Stridor doesn't have the spell check red line underneath when I type it! I was pretty sure it'd have it lol!
I go him at a discount price at a bargain store and he's so cool. I love having a stidor who can move his legs.

i just stuck the blast effects on my skysled on the side guns - but yea i did not like the way they looked on stridor, but i have him with my Etenia guard version of Man at Arms as he builds him in the Filmation Cartoon. so not sure if he did in the comic but yea.

Right quick, the front "knees" are his wrists. Horses basically stand on tiptoes.
Anyway, he looks AWESOME! The blast effects could look better with a different color, some slimming down, or both, but they could also be repurposed. I use Prince Adam's sword effect with Kronos's rifle since it's just heavy, and it looks decent as a rifle blast.
Does the stand attach to the Battlefield Warriors stand? Maybe there is a secret base easter egg to discover.
I was thinking about geting one or three, for some clasics characters to ride, more in traditional horse manner, but that won't work.

I saw Stridor a few weeks back at Target but purposely didn’t pick it up because I’ve had it preordered from BBTS (as I would prefer to get them via that route with undamaged packaging). Not sure what’s going on with their shipments lately as Wave 7 has also been in stock for quite a while at both Walmart and Target and yet the BBTS shipments are still nowhere in sight. It’s been nearly 6 months since I got anything new from Origins, so I may have to cave in and just get them next time I go to either store.

I’m staying away from the vehicles/beasts because I have no room to display them. Only one I have is the sky sled cause it came with prince Adam. But this looks great. Might get it fir my son. He’s got panthor and battle cat already.

The twin shoulder guns tend to pop off while moving it up and down. Pretty well done Origins release still
That is definitely something great about the new ones, the articulation as opposed to none heh.
The figures sit a little deep for my liking. You can barely see them. I ended up using the new orange Roboto since I don't have Fisto. The colour schemes match quite well.
Does the Stridor stand maybe clip in with the Battle Damage Heman stand ?
I am wondering the same. Maybe there is a secret scheme behind their madness, and eventually all the pieces will come together!

Hey Dan I just got the vintage eterina play set I was wonder if you know how to fix the motor because mine does not work?
if it's similar to some the other MOTU motorised vehicles sometimes the cogs in the motors seize over time with non use. if you have fresh batteries in it and in the on position , you may need to gently manually move the main gear , I'm not to familiar with the Eterina set up but that worked for both my dragon walkers and the Attack track

I assume that the green attachments lip is meant for a upcoming additional attachment in a future release.
I don´t like this horse. I find it silly because it is too earth-like. But it is done much better than battle cat. It has a well sized head that fits to perfectly the body unlike battle cat who looks pretty dumb without helmet/mask. ... cause the head is too small ...
Classics fit on this Stridor too. Which you forgot to mention.
Came here to see if I was missing something on connecting it to Grayskull. Guess it really doesn't do it very well.
They should release a right-side and floor section for the castle. Enough of these silly horsey stands and dungeon monster stands that just don't work right! Give us more grayskull! Take mah money, Mattel!
