    just so ppl arent confused: if ur on a 30 series card or newer put the power management mode to optimal, any older card, set it to prefer maximum performance.

    • @portman8909

      It depends on the game. Some games are really bad for downclocking the memory speeds which causes FPS drops. But I would do prefer maximum performance on a program by program basis rather than a global setting.

    What's the point of changing 'Latency Mode' under global settings?
    It's an old 'Max Pre Rendered Frame', setting it to 'ON' sets 'max pre rendered frame' to 1, which is an advantage for competitive games, but If you play AAA games then it might cause stuttering.
    I'd personally recommend having it 'OFF" under global settings and set it to ON/Ultra for competitive games that don't support nvidia reflex

    my game's feeling inconsistent lately and i keep trying to change settings inside nvidia control panel to test what's best for me. also messing around with afterburner(tried undervolting)
    it's nice to have your opinion on this since i've been trying to find the one and done settings for everything. thanks.

    If you have vsync enabled it will keep your monitor refresh rate at max, so g-sync will be useless as it needs to have variable refresh rate to work, not fixed. Also you have to enable rBAR from bios first.

    • @xCheatah

      that's not true, in fact gsync works best with vsync enabeld as it will lover input latency

    Thanks bro. But i have a question. So you and i both are using Gsync monitors but i heard from blurbusters when you have a gsync monitor , For smoothest experience you must use Gsync on, plus vsync on plus fps cap for smoothest experience. is this not true? without vsync its teary

    • @Flameboi900
      @Flameboi900  Год назад +1

      Yes and no the general rule is for the smoothest experience yes or the 3 under rule for fps cap is also a part of that rule 3 fps under your monitors refresh rate with reflex on to get the smoothest tear free experience

    A lot of these settings haven't' changed since the early 2000's idk why Nvidia still refuses to update their control panel lol. Most of those settings are there because games didn't have much in game from what i can remember
