  • Want a perfect fitting roll cage? Want to make it faster than you ever have before? With ZERO scrap/waste? We will teach you how!
    A full set of (4) of these patent-pending tools costs about as much as 2 sticks of average roll cage material. They will save you hours of layout time, and dramatically reduce your scrap, especially on A-pillars! They are made in the USA from absolute premium materials (like stainless steel).
    Get yours right now: www.roguefab.c...
    We show you how to mock up and layout a B pillar. The pillar is also called the main hoop in a roll cage. These are critical to NHRA, SFI, and road racing builds (NASA, SCCA, or circle track). See how quickly we get a tight fitting B pillar in our BMW race car. Once the main hoop (b pillar) is fitting perfect, the rest of the cage will be easy to build maintaining that close-to-the-body fit that everyone strives for. When a roll cage fits sloppy, you lose interior space and create driver impact risks that can easily be avoided. Generic cage kits can only take you so far. When you want the fitment that puts 90%+ of SEMA cages to shame, you have to build it yourself and do it right.
    After the B pillar, we demonstrate how to layout and measure the most difficult part of nearly any roll cage - the A pillar. With limited space and rotation between bends, getting this part correct is critical to fitment and driver safety. We even did this process on a 4Runner rock crawler to show that it can work on an exo cage!

    This process is carried out on Rogue Fabrication equipment (we make the most affordable hydraulic tubing benders, and the most affordable mandrel tubing bender in the world, and we make it all here in the USA), but would work the exact same on any manual pipe bender, like one made by JD2 squared, Baileigh industrial, JMR, Pro Tools, and more (like a CNC bender).

    How about a stepped blade / plate with a tube diameter profile cut out, to insert into the end of the pvc, to fixture and measure tube intersections?

    • @RogueFabrication
      @RogueFabrication  28 дней назад

      Good idea. Having it touch the other tube, you just add the radius of the tube... but that is a nice little accessory to have :) we'll suggest it to Chassis Fab Parts.

    Awesome tool but at $100 a pop not super budget diy friendly.

      Why should someone not be paid well for their ideas? You can easily spend $100 on consumables building a cage, heck $100 in failed cuts. This is something you'll own forever.

      Nailed it. I'm sure they could be knocked off in China out of pot metal for $29 retail... but most fabricators make their cars with pride. Why not take pride in the tools you're using, too? Thank you for admiring them Justin (even if not for the price!). We have a 15% off coupon code going this week as well, so that helps! E mail us and we'll hook you up. -Joe

      I’m not saying the tool isn’t worth it. I’m just saying it’s financially beneficial for a guy that makes cages for a living dropping $400 for 4 of these tools to build a rear hoop and potentially more if you have different bend radius. However if you one off a cage or two a year or maybe are just making one cage for yourself the cost doesn’t outweigh the benefits of the tool. If I had the $$$ I would buy this in a heartbeat. It would be nice to see a version of this tool in a less expensive format.

    • @RogueFabrication
      @RogueFabrication  26 дней назад +2

      You can do a whole cage with (2) of them using symmetry. The hardest part is the A pillar and those only have (2) bends also. No need to spend $400 if you don't want to.

      I agree. Doesn't seem any easier to use than the excellent instructions I received with my Rouge Fab bender. It came with all the information I ever needed to figure out how to bend tube. I love every tool I have bought from Joe. Just don't see a need for this one.
      Thanks
