I would manually set the settings. Shadows, view distance, occlusion could all be toned down to gain a lot of FPS, while the others cranked would leave for a fantastic gaming experience on this device. Even adding ConsolePort and some mods and it'd play fantastic with sticks. I did Mythic+ in Legion with a controller on feral druid and it was amazing once I got used to it. Just had to increase camera movement speed a bit to make it snappy.
I agree, I turn everything down to lowest except texture quality to max, particle density & spell intensity to max, and water to fair because low to fair makes a massive diff and doesn’t really hurt performance
I just bought my Rog Ally today. I paid £485 for a Rog Ally Z1 Extreme on eBay. I do plan to use it as a desktop most of the time, combining the Rog Ally Z1 Extreme with a dock that has M.2 support on the dock. I do have a Steam Deck as well, which will be used as an emulation system mainly, and also for playing small Indie Games, twin stick shooters and such. Best of both worlds. I still see myself preferring the Steam Deck though, because of the controls. I am looking forward to playing WoW on the Rog, to see how it compares to the Steam Deck. I plan on buying a 12 month sub for WoW at some point next year. Installing things like mods, in WoW, should be much easier on the Rog Ally, given that it runs a Windows 11 environment, compared to the Steam Deck. While running mods in WoW, on the Steam Deck, is possible, it's such a pain in the ass to set up.
I play with a controller exclusively and I find it so much better than M n KB. Yes it has enough buttons for all of your abilities and then some. I tried with the built in console controller support, it wasn't bad, but to me "Console Port" is just better.

Are you guys playing it in 15w? For the battery ?
So this would play even better on Ally X because of more RAM you think?
Heck yeah, and faster ram
What keyboard and mouse are you using
It's a Red Dragon 60%

What are you using to track performance in game
They have a built in monitor that can show you everything from temps to fps to how much cpu or gpu your using
Funny, everytime I try to run it it freezes and says wow failed to start 3d acceleration or whatever
You are not doing it properly then
How do you zoom in and out on this?
He said he is using keyboard and mouse
Can you link your keybouard plz ? Thank you 😊
It's a Red Dragon 60%
dude you watch disney in background while benchmarking wow ... lol
It will really struggle with addons. It can run game itself easy but not heavy addons like weak auras, details, platebuffs... etc
Use them, and no its not at all. Graphics has to be 5/10 and its good
Just turn down your settings like norber said
Nooo Not first again better luck next time 😬😅👍🏻
4K on that small screen is just a big big waste of computing power. Human brain don't notice the difference.
Well the screen is 1080p anyways, you can't render 4k even though it runs on 4k. So no point.
@@borasumerit has super resolution
Side by side comparions show that the human brain can infact tell the difference man.
Meh, it’s an experiment. You never wanted just to crank everything up and see what happens?
Big npc vibes .. pure demoralysed
try lost ark on the ally
Wow 😂
Pointless playing wow like this...
Works fine for me... I raid and even PvP and do fine.
Not really. When you need to take a dump and raid is starting
