I want my engine builder making vids also making the music. Time for music probably means he's not busy on come-backs lol😊 Some builders are filled up because of great work. Some you tube star engine builders are busy with 5 rich/dumb customers. 😮
"Doesn't get more exciting that pouring concrete into a SBC"🤣 We love the "Premium content" Pete. Way better than watching a Chevette jump the Grand Canyon😂😂😂😂😂
I am at work in a Hospital. Got the notification Pete posted a new video. Sorry, patients - better not be flat lining cause I got to go learn something and listen to the tunes.
Being a drummer, i cant help but appreciate your precise timming on the jam. Being a car guy, i cant help but appreciate your attention to detail on that as well. Keep it up man!
This could possibly be the coolest channel on RUclips.. sweet ass progish grooves with an awesome guitar solo and learning how to buildhorsepowerthe right way... thanks for the video pete
56 years old been in the business for 37 years I’m sitting in my car waiting for my daughter at the park and the opening song starts …and I’m grinning ear to ear. Lol
I Care!!! Far more brain exercise here than when watching intentional destruction being wrought... ...not that I don't enjoy when some things get blowed up real good, in certain settings. Keep at it!
Brother! Is that you playing guitar?! not only are you a bad ass machine is an engine builder but a great guitar player. I would love to see more of you playing guitar bad ass!
Someone put that mess in a 460 I bought and it literally disentigrated the timing cover water ports. Excellent timing and tasteful music you are making there. Well done. I'd pay for that show
I really like what your doing here. I think its even cooler using stock block stuff. I just like it even if it's only safe for 800hp or whatever. Your doing cool stuff in my books! We can learn something to! Thanks
Pete,. you rock! Noticed the 301's in your shop. How are the surrounds on the woofers holding up? I'm the Bose repair tech that repairs them. Let me know if they're in need of service! As a musician myself, I totally appreciate your talent in making your music! That's freaking great! 🤘
Pete I'm absolutely no expert and did this only once, but to level it out in the block I vibrated it with a sanding board with no paper of course, worked awesome.
Love the music. You ever thought about a collaboration with the likes of Rat Rod Bob, Vice Grip Garage or any other talented music and car enthusiast? It'd be great for some of you to get together and talk cars and jam. Keep up the hella work. You are definitely good at doing stuff and polishing turds.
Seems like you could have done a couple episodes, or maybe even just incorporated Mike Finnagans name in that song. I 100% love and agree with your method on that his last deal. Love this series also!
Man Pete, you really had me on the edge of my seat during the block pouring part. The whole time I was like "That's crazy, what is he going to do next?!?!" then you completely shocked me by moving to the next hole. You can't get this kind of entertainment for even twice the price.
You should have shown us ARP studs with an aftermarket girdle, curious how that "extra rigidity" tightens up the bearing clearance. It's supposed to be "stronger", but it's probably crushing the oil out of journal bearings. 🤔😳
I’m a new sub and man oh man am I excited to make my way over here from Cleetus’. Love your musicality! So awesome to see applying your talent to your other obvious talent/ambition.
Hey Pete, as much as I love your videos and I do I subscribed because of your music originally but now I like both lol and your sense of humor keep on trucking buddy!
Being we have the same last name does that make us cousins 🤔🤔 which means 😲 free tunes or at least half off 😏😂.. but in all seriousness glad we have another educational RUclips channel for us gearheads..
😂 Eat your heart out Clet... He's great but I'm sure Squirrel, Dr. Jackstand, and himself would try to see the real world applications of flex-seal for this. They already tried it as a head gasket! 😂
I have filled 15 or 20 blocks with several different products and found a couple things that at least to me make the job easier and the fist is a quart size squeeze bottle that I picked up at a restaurant supply store one day when I picking up large rimmed baking pans that I leave under cars that like to leave trade mark as well as mounting one to my engine stand to catch life’s little happy accident. The next one sounds weird but trust me it does help make sure you have no voids and reduce any air bubbles when filling a block and that is I vibrate the block after I have filled water passages around a hole or two. I was at a yard sale and bought a couple of those 1950/60’s hand held vibrating massagers like you see both men and women massaging their necks in old movies. I have also used small square sheet electric D/A sander. Which ever you use just remember you can over vibrate things and that is definitely a bd thing because it cause thing to separate into layers
Pete I been watching you from before cleetus before Netflix. I watch TurboJohn and saw you and he talks about you and Lyle. I love your content I love learning stuff. I am not real good at doing stuff hopefully this vidyeas can help me.
I have a technical question/observation. I've been in high end machining for the last 45 years and I've always questioned my friends that build racing engines why everything is machined off of the current position instead of from the datum points of the casting? It seems to me like the positions of the bores may, or may not be in the exact position that they should be. What if the main bearing bores are off in the "Z" direction and changes the deck height off? Or when you locate off of the bore to bore the cylinders, things might not be where they really should be. How about if the main bearing bores aren't straight to positions of the cylinder bores? Could that put torsional loads on the crank or rods? In my world we have True Positional Tolerance (TPT) to describe where everything should be and how the features relate back to datum points. Think of surfaces that everything relates back to, probably the flywheel mounting face and some dowel pin holes? Anyway, just questions that I ponder on. Your channel rocks and I look great in my RGADS shirt!
It worked out. Just as i couldnt take anymore of that poor cat who i can only imagine got his tail caught in the disposal from that screaming...the video ended.
"Cleetus eat your heart out" lol. Actually, he's probably mowing the grass at his new airport.
"He's prolly trying to jump a Chevette across the Grand Canyon right now. Not me. I'm pouring concrete." That slayed me. 😂
Best intro song ever.
I want my engine builder making vids also making the music. Time for music probably means he's not busy on come-backs lol😊 Some builders are filled up because of great work. Some you tube star engine builders are busy with 5 rich/dumb customers. 😮
Mod motor mark intro still no1
Can we get a Playlist on Spotify...Car peeps need your Jams to crank up in the shop 💯
Fr 🤘
That opening song was a siren call to every Gen X out here.
"Doesn't get more exciting that pouring concrete into a SBC"🤣 We love the "Premium content" Pete. Way better than watching a Chevette jump the Grand Canyon😂😂😂😂😂
Surfing with an alien. Joe sach
I'm 48 old metalhead.. I get chills when I hear a person play a guitar like you do.
I am at work in a Hospital. Got the notification Pete posted a new video. Sorry, patients - better not be flat lining cause I got to go learn something and listen to the tunes.
The fact that you took the time to make a polishing turds sign out of masking tape gets a like from me! Oh and the song is amazing too
Being a drummer, i cant help but appreciate your precise timming on the jam. Being a car guy, i cant help but appreciate your attention to detail on that as well. Keep it up man!
The little shots at old Cleeter had me cracking up.. You redeemed yourself with the jam session. Love the videos, keep them coming.
This is the best intro song on any RUclips channel. ROCKS.
You have a great sense of humor, and you playing your music during these video is cool Pete.
This could possibly be the coolest channel on RUclips.. sweet ass progish grooves with an awesome guitar solo and learning how to buildhorsepowerthe right way... thanks for the video pete
loved the small jam out session during the line honing. Will be going through your series to see some older stuff 🤘
Great music !!!
That's cement concrete has sand and gravel in it
I love the fact that you make your own time lapse music!
I didn't know you did your own music. Now I've got the turd polish song earworm. 😂We're polishing turds turds turds🎶
56 years old been in the business for 37 years I’m sitting in my car waiting for my daughter at the park and the opening song starts …and I’m grinning ear to ear. Lol
The only channel where I will watch the real time or time laps progress of a build.
Wal-Mart is killing it on that music
That kiosk is 🔥!
Literally best music on RUclips.
Appreciation for how long that took took to film/ edit
Heck yeah! Polishing turds is awesome informative videos
Awesome use of “tape graphics” to protect against rock block in unwanted areas.
Thanks for Leroy’s connecting rod. Cool stuff.
I Care!!!
Far more brain exercise here than when watching intentional destruction being wrought...
...not that I don't enjoy when some things get blowed up real good, in certain settings.
Keep at it!
The riff in the video of you line honing sounds like A Perfect Circle, I liked it a lot
Pete you is real good. Make sure you educate the next generation.
Pete, you rock! Love polishing turds. Peace
That transition at 12:20 sounds like you are transitioning into a CKY song 👍👊🇺🇸🤘
Peak RUclips
Trying to jump a Chevette over the Grand Canyon. 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve been laughing at that for hours now.
Love it! Even better when you set in the video of you making the music.
You know if this machining and tuning thing doesn’t pay off…. LOL
Brother! Is that you playing guitar?!
not only are you a bad ass machine is an engine builder but a great guitar player. I would love to see more of you playing guitar bad ass!
Pete, As always, great video. Thanx for taking the time to share your expertise. Always learn something!!!!
Now Cleetus has to jump a Chevette across the Grand Canyon to keep up! 😂🤣
Someone in the Finnegan vid noted Pete’s resemblance to Greg Allman. Pepper Keenan to me all day
Coolest concrete video ever.
Keep doing you Pete 😆 👌
Thanks for sharing.
Nothing better than watching concrete dry while polishing a turds!
Someone put that mess in a 460 I bought and it literally disentigrated the timing cover water ports.
Excellent timing and tasteful music you are making there. Well done. I'd pay for that show
Cement is a popular topic. Cleetus had us figuring out the weight of a concrete cylinder. Bahaha!
So many of these videos should have the Steve Morris "Caution You May Learn Something" warning on the video. Such great stuff.
You mean Steve Morris may learn something…..😆😆😆😆
I was wondering what happened to this engine, it’s been awhile. Glad you kept the polishing turds series!
Very informative content!! And the original music is sweet!!!
I really like what your doing here.
I think its even cooler using stock block stuff. I just like it even if it's only safe for 800hp or whatever. Your doing cool stuff in my books! We can learn something to! Thanks
It should be called Pete's laboratory instead of the quiet room. I get silence of the lambs vibes from it. It pours the concrete in its block. 😅
It pours the concrete in its block, or it gets the hone again.
Premium content today, lol. You coulda time lapse that Rokblok hardening.
Always a great day when Pete uploads a new video
Wow! Pouring concrete! I had no idea!
Love the channel dont beat yourself up over content I can watch you pour Crete all day with a jam session
Like both the Rock & the Block! Sounds definitely David Gilmour influenced, and that is not a bad thing!
I've subscribed to your channel for the music; the car stuff is a bonus
Pete,. you rock! Noticed the 301's in your shop. How are the surrounds on the woofers holding up? I'm the Bose repair tech that repairs them. Let me know if they're in need of service! As a musician myself, I totally appreciate your talent in making your music! That's freaking great! 🤘
Who wants to watch cleaners McFarlane jump across the Grand canyon when we got Pete pouring concrete baby
Nice work Pete. Love the music too !
i get john petrucci vibes watching you play... keep it up dude, love the engine tech.
Pete I'm absolutely no expert and did this only once, but to level it out in the block I vibrated it with a sanding board with no paper of course, worked awesome.

Greatness every time
Man Pete, you really had me on the edge of my seat during the block pouring part. The whole time I was like "That's crazy, what is he going to do next?!?!" then you completely shocked me by moving to the next hole. You can't get this kind of entertainment for even twice the price.

Super interesting! Never seen the cement method used before.
Hey Pete, as much as I love your videos and I do I subscribed because of your music originally but now I like both lol and your sense of humor keep on trucking buddy!

Definitely can't wing out those sweet ballads of horsepowers unless you have the flowing locks of silver.. rock on Pete!! Cheers,ed
Love it!! Dad always said you can't polish a turd. I still try. Go heels! I am a native myself.
Awesome music!
8:52 “…what we’re doing, and why…” Thank you
People always claim to know what they’re doing, but have no idea why. That drives me crazy.
😂 Eat your heart out Clet... He's great but I'm sure Squirrel, Dr. Jackstand, and himself would try to see the real world applications of flex-seal for this. They already tried it as a head gasket! 😂
Thanks for another great video!
i love the walmart music great job..... lol
YOU POLISHED THAT TURD TO DIAMOND STATUS. GOOD JOB
" MEAT "
Everyone knows thin batter makes the best pancakes 😊
Thanks for the video
Man it’s taking a long time to polish that turd, but I’m looking forward to seeing the results
Hey Pete , love the music video insert !!
Appreciate the content Pete!
I see my buddies Rus Ghent and his dad at 1:37. Great guys.

Masking tape titles on point.

This intro song runs thru my head as I pretend i know shit.
Waiting on that Rokblock song...
Great content thanks for sharing. Very informative
this song is fire
Love it. Are you going to do some videos on the Dale truck engine for Garrett?
I've never seen this. So it's great content. Am totally interested
How effective would cooling be trying to run water in a half filled block? Higher oil temps or water? Not a street able set up I'm guessing.
